Only an standard first class batter.

His one day form is brilliant and yes he should be in the ODI side imho but no where near the test team imho.

I guess when Steve Smith gets a go with his technique we all feel hard done by, let alone Ferg.

Its funny people always make the comparison to Steve Smith yet Smith averages more than Ferguson at first class level.

Ferguson 6 100's in 99 innings
Smith 4 100's in 42 innings.

Throw in the fact Ferguson gets to bat at the road that is Adelaide Oval every second game and i can see why 'on paper' he is ahead of Ferguson

Smiths record is a long, long way ahead of Ferguson. Ferguson's 4 day form is terrible.
Ideally if our side was any good, he would be our 6th batter in our side. Our batting is terrible. Piss off the Doc (averages 33 for god sake), Get rid of Ludeman. Christian needs to continue to stand up if he batting in the top 6. Why ferguson is batting at 3, with his poor record at 4 and 5 has got me stuffed.

Open James Smith and Cooper, Klinger at 3, Ferguson at 4, Blizzard 5 and Christian 6. Crosthwaite 7. (or swap Klinger and Cooper).

Cooper and Smith are young, have potential, Harris is living off his t20 record at present in the ODI format, and he is simply not consistent enough. If we are going to continue to get skittled, atleast do it with some eye to the future.

Didn't Ferg have a poor start to his FC career and has blossomed over the past few seasons?

we have 33.3 overs to survive.

I don't think we will do it without the help of the rain. I hope i am wrong.

They've only used three bowlers... You'd hope they just run out of puff and bring the pie chuckers on...

This Couter-Nile is handy.
