Cooper run out! Unforgivable. 3/23 at stumps.

How do you get run out in the last over of the day when you are just batting to see the day out? There was never a run there. Hit it hard to point and just took off!

Just got home after being at the AO all day.

And I look at the scoreboard and we're 3/23.

Harris another duck, Ferg a second failure in the match, and Cooper run out first ball!!!!!

WE SUCK!!

PS. Cullen Bailey should NEVER be picked in FC again.

Time to get rid of the Adelaide Oval scoreboard? This columnist thinks so:

Disappointing start to the FC season for fergy, looking like he is seeing them like basketballs at the moment but just can't turn his form in to Hundy, and this summer will probably be husseys and pontings last. There's a spot there for him if he wants it

If history shows us anything, it's that chances to cement test spots aren't always there. Lehmann looked like he'd waltz in around 1989/90. Then a couple blokes named Waugh started making the runs. Hayden missed out to Slater and took 8 years to finally cement himself. Siddons just never had his name at the top at the right time and never even got that chance. If Ferguson doesn't keep his name up there with Khawaja then someone will leapfrog him.

As for the batting, I'm not comfortable with Christian batting 6. I'd love to see him batting 7 with either a keeper batting 6 or higher who commands a top 6 FC spot or we pick Christian as a front line bowler. But the reality is the top 5, blokes picked just to bat, have in this game so far let the side down badly. We need our top 5 to be scoring 200-250 runs an innings.

And Ludeman won't bat above 8-9, Crosthwaite would only bat at 8 himself, so we're stuffed with that also

I have to laugh at the constant calls about how Ferguson is so hard done by and should be in the test team.

Only an standard first class batter.

His one day form is brilliant and yes he should be in the ODI side imho but no where near the test team imho.

I guess when Steve Smith gets a go with his technique we all feel hard done by, let alone Ferg.
