However! Congrats to the Riverland Weekly for their new cricket column.
I'm sure players both past and present, supporters and most importantly, up and coming youngsters will enjoy the more comprehensive look at the local scene. :D

Don't worry about the whole page of cricket results and photos in last Tuesday's Pioneer Rippa
With Friday's preview, which is generously provided by an SAFooty poster, cricket is actually getting more coverage than last season in the Pioneer.
And last season you were praising the Pioneer and bagging the Weekly. Make up your mind old mate!
(BTW - This week's Tuesday coverage was a bit smaller because I've been away).

Get your act together Baron. I hate you.

That's a shame cos I love you OS!

Maybe it was last years bagging that resulted in the new column? ;)
The most disappointing thing from my perspective, and the reason that I felt the need to comment, was the preview before the first round. Usually there would be an in depth look at the teams, ins and outs and their chances etc. and maybe a story on a new player. This year it was a fairly succinct write up whilst again, the editions main focus was on off season football matters.
Considering the amount of effort that would have gone into producing the booklet that comprehensively previewed all winter sports last season, is it really asking too much to focus a little more on the 'supposedly' number 1 summer sport in the country?
Having said that, I'm sure things would have been different if you were on deck BG.

Footy sells Rip.

And...I'm hoping cricket does (online) too ;)

2 pages of cricket every week in The Bunyip.
The local clubs are right behind it.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

DW's right Rip.
The signing of a new coach always will give a paper more readers than the weekly cricket results.
Just the way it is I'm afraid.

Last season's preview before the first round was of similar size, if not smaller, albeit in a more prominent position on the page.
2009/10 was the same.
We haven't done a big preview since you captained in 2008/09.

I know you're just trying to look out for local cricket mate. Maybe just send me an email with your concerns and we'll try to address them.

Would you like to pay that hundred in one straight hit or 10 easy payments of $9.99?

I decided on the easy payment option.
