yes we lost , an unlosable game
now for my whinge.....
i dont think I have ever played against a bigger bunch of w*****s in my cricketing career...
and thats being nice. to get a send off like I received and then get some little punk say he will see me in the carpark after the game, well I was there...............
we had no less than three people from SEATON abuse and threaten our batters with violence when the game finished.
so I cant wait to play them in a two day format.....
you are the biggest sooks I have ever played against, If this is how you play the game then maybe your club should hang its head in shame.
there is sledging and then there is your club. a big difference lads, we say nice edge , next time try and find the middle next time, your comeback when your bowling , f u you idiot get off the ground and I will smash you at the end of the game.....
GET A LIFE YOU SORRY BUNCH OF W*****s , Its a game of cricket not a street brawl.....
I hope this post stays on here to warn other teams of their behavour . could be interesting next time we meet ( loking forward to it) that is all for now.

same in our game mate. i copped a send off in our dig.... i was out for 3 in the second over and i never said a thing lol. i went out to umpire later on and a certain bowler wearing shorts was having a go at one of our batters. as i walked passed he said something about taking his head off and keeping his glasses as a trophy so i just had to let him know he is nowhere near fast enough to hit him in the head let alone take it off, well that set him off didnt it  i have no idea what he was yelling back at me, i was to busy laughing

Excuse ;)

Shame you couldn't win, it's pretty disgusting behaviour, I mean I love a sledge and love getting it back, but that's just taking it too far, and it's not even sledging, they just sound like tards and it just ruins the game for everyone.

You should've just hit them for 6... yes I mean them not the ball

Hey Andrew,

Sorry mate, but I'm out until after Xmas for anything cricket-related. Hopefully someone else can step up and organise some sides for the 13th.

Sorry if I sound a little critical, but I think the success of last year's event hinged upon the relevance of a catastrophic event (the Qld & Vic floods), where most people knew somebody who was directly affected by it. As such, when something like that happens, it tugs at the heart strings of many, especially given the media publicity it generated and the large number of graphic images show around the nation, which makes it easier to get guys to commit to the cause.

While I admire your quest to replicate the previous event, ongoing & to raise money for other causes, the fact that haemophilia (in this instance) doesn't directly affect the vast majority, the likelihood of guys committing to this event in an already-cricket-saturated pre-Xmas calendar is not as high. Somebody not directly affected by the disease is not going to be as passionate about it as yourself, for example. That's society as a whole, unfortunately. :?

Anyway, I may be off-base, but that's how I see it. As I said, not trying to be critical mate & wish you all the very best in getting this one off the ground. Sorry I can't be of assistance this time around. :(

Regards,
GH

Your right on the money actually mate and I knew itd be harder to get people involved this time round which is why I started so early... Ive put out fliers to the families affected by haemophilia (through the womens and childrens hospital) so there is no backing out now! Push comes to shove itll become open invite just so I can fill the 6 teams. The most disappointing thing about the lack of help is that these are the kinds of charities that need the MOST HELP. The small ones that are run by volunteers and that are less heard of. The community run on the theory of if its not on the news it not worth worrying about but I promise you that these families struggle emotionally and physically over a longer period of time than most families affected by short term flooding etc... I myself never even considered volunteering for a charity, let alone trying to organise events on behalf of one, until I was hit square in the jaw by my sons disorder.

Sounds like a very noble cause bash 4 cash. how about team rita forming a team for the event, who by the way was my favorite poster before the untimely demise.

Mr Bash-4-cash, perhaps you could extend your invite to ATCA & A&SCA for players etc? Might be able to pick up a few more?

Unfortunately I tend to agree with Mr Herder on this one, and honestly I was sceptical when talk arose last year about doing it again, everyone knows sequels are never as good as the 1st (except the godfather trilogy).

You wouldn't be playing Seaton if someone was not wearing shorts

As for bowling, pretty sure you can in shorts, but they have to be white. But at the same time I don't understand if your not a fill in, why you would not have long pants.

I must admit, the sides I have seen so far, Enfield, Rose Park the uniforms have been pretty good and good to see most players wearing them.
