I remember going a few season ago and you would still get a little bit of a crowd (50 or so either way) under the scoreboard.

The Redbacks of old would have lost that.
Hopefully things are finally turning the corner.
Best I've seen Beer bowl. Didn't think he had it in him.
Great knock by Ferg.
Some terrible shots tonight. Think Richo may have a spell back at grade cricket after his last 2 overs (went for 42) and his dismissal tonight (what was he thinking?)
Not the biggest fan of Bailey, but he bowled really well once he changed ends. His first 3 overs were littered wiht full tosses and half-trackers and should have gone for more than the 15 he conceded. He came back well after that though.
Worst I've seen Lyon bowl, but he made up for it with his batting at the end.

Richardsons shot selection to be dismissed was mind bogglingunder the circumstances. NO EXCUSES.
Fergusson was brilliant and how he isn't back in the Australian 1 day side is a total mystery ?
Honestly, why is Ponting still playing and holding up the future?
Lyons knock was brilliant and actually outscored Ferg in their matchwinning partnership. The key to his innings was that he kept it simple and played proper cricket shots appropriate to where the balls were bowled. Hooks, cuts, drives, he played the lot.
As for those questioning Ludemans' batting ability, i can only say that i saw his debut shield innings live (season b4 last ?) against Victoria ?? at Adelaide oval and he made 70 odd and it was one of the guttsiest innings i've seen. Was peppered with plenty of fast short stuff but stood his ground and then unleashed some cracking drives when the ball was pitched up. I'm sure his contibutions will improve markedlyif given a sustained opportunity.
Agree with a few others about the sparse crowd, the quality of cricket certainly deserves a bigger crowd.

The hill was decently attended in the 1st innings, strangely most left at the innings break.
The crowds just a few seasons ago were very decent, I'd even argue probably the best amongst the states, but the 1st game was a pitiful turnout. Today's was a definite improvement, maybe 15%, but still not where it used to be just 3-4 years ago.
It's sad because domestic cricket is awesome.
