LOL - there's more non Sturt people that are "on the money" than you think re this topic. You don't think that SFC Board Members and Admin Staff don't have contacts / friends outside the club or the membership???

Anyhow I am sure your "one man out of state" SFC Supporters Sub-Branch would have discussed amongst yourselves and got to the truth!

I don't care what insults you can throw at me, I am happy with the information I have been told and from whom. Not saying I am 100% behind the moves but just funny that some on here like to spread absolute lies...

Norman tried his guts out but just didn't have what the SFC wanted for moving into 2012 and someone else showed that they had the plans and that is the direction they went.

Unfortunate but changes must be made when you finish bottom AND see that the coach isn't prepared to change to make ammends.

Ive pretty much given all the info vaguely as I can but if you darlings need more, pm me and we can continue this like gentlemen instead of clowns looking silly :)

I understand a big issue was he had "lost" many of the Senior Players and a few would go if he was to stay on in 2012. I have since found out that the delay in this announcement was due to the SFC trying to secure another ex SANFL coach to take over but that didn't happen so Maloney got the job.

Yes was Mark Mickan however he refused to do to someone else what was done to him and wouldn't talk to them until they had informed Norman that he was gone. Board kept trying but he wouldn't budge. The bloke is full of integrity. Pure class.

Or maybe just maybe because the Sturt job isn't full time it didn't fit in with what Mark wants to do with his professoinal life in 2012??
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I love these guys who say "they" know the truth but can't say how. That just makes you another poster with another opinion based on maybe nothing... you're big noting yourself without providing any evidence you have inside knowledge...

... comes across like bulls**t to me.

In the end Norman wasn't up to scratch. Nice guy but bad luck, he had a crack as he publicly stated. If the club appointed Maloney without due diligence then that's mighty risky. I will be asking the club the question at the AGM and I hope I get a good answer.

That said, Maloney is the man and I'm happy to give him a go, i think the team attitude will be much improved, but it will be a hard year. I would have liked to have seen Mickan take over, but that's just me...

On this very forum, people "in the know" claimed that the club was about to go under and wasnt paying it's players.. then the club came out and announced a modest profit.

If people here are so "on the money", tell me who the preferred person for Duane Massey's position is.

Sturts financial poistion is old news now. The club is on top of it and trying to reduce debt and are in far better position than in recent years. The funny thing is the most recent innuendo about Sturts financial position came from a Port supporter.

Jarman

I reckon the Andrew Jarman persona has cost him dearly. Doubt he'll ever get a head coaching job in any big league from here on, made a fool of himself acting like a clown and people remember those things. I'll bet it was mentioned during the washup at Brighton Rd,! Do we need a 'comic' coaching us, irrespective of his past coaching record, it's more about his character.

That schtick gets old real fast.

Interesting. You have a scanned copy of a SFC bank statement?
I'd be VERY careful suggesting that you even have access to this sort of information Mickey.

A bank statement won't show Sturts financial position .

Maybe just post the figures you have . ;)

Geez some people on here love taking things out of context...

1. I don't have a bank statement, scanned or original.
2. Even if I did, do you think id be stupid enough to post it on here..
3. Even if I was that stupid, it wouldn't be enough proof for you guys..
4. Just because people don't support a certain club, doesn't mean they don't know people who are involved in other clubs.. friendships do transgress football club allegiance you know..

I suggested the statement tongue in cheek as a reference to the level of proof some people in here are demanding for info posted.... maybe I should of added a smiley or 2.
