French win 9-8.

Unbelievable effort by France to lose 2 pool games (one to Tonga) and make the final!
Good effort by Wales after their captain got sent off half way through the first half.

bad kicking by Wales cost them, they missed 3 or 4 penalties and a conversion
still not a bad game to watch and it went down to the wire, Wales finished up with 25 or so phases to try and score at the end, but it just wasnt to be

A couple of stats

- The only time in WC history these four sides made it to the semi-finals was the first WC, when NZ actually won
- No side has won a WC Final after losing a pool game, NZ are the only side of the final four to have not lost a match in the WC so far

I've watched a few minutes of this, quite enjoyable. I don't think I've ever lasted this long watching Rugby League before. Union is much more watchable for me.
