Ladder predictions... Hmmmm

Can't see IA, Port or Mitcham challenging for a top 4 birth, I could be very wrong tho! I believe these teams will continue to improve this season.

Flinders in reality have to make up a lot of ground to challenge for the 4. They have recruited well tho & if some of the rumours about WI are true (already without Willoughby I think) they may be the one to miss out if Flinders can consistently put their best football together.

I haven't heard of any significant outs from Onka's or Taints.
I know Na Fianna's outs of Bryant (ACL) & Javor (retired/promoted to coach :D ) should be covered by a couple of reasonable amatuer footy players coming out for a run this season. 8)

With the Taints supplying the mens State League coach, assistant coach, and team manager, all our efforts have been going into sorting the state trip! As a consequence, we/I have done very little work on recruiting for the 2011/2012 campaign.

OUTS:
Jarrod Pommeroy (moving to rural SA)
Kym Evans (moved to UK)

INS:
Some young whippets from Morphett Vale Footy Club

RUMOURED RETURNS:
Matt "Mundies" Underwood
Craig "Cundies" Underwood
Damien Sugg
SaFooty's own Brock Landers
Simon Scezeney

Wouldn't say we have much ground to make up at all, the players are there, in the old format we were regulars in the top 4 before Christmas, its basically up to us to settle our squad and get a regular quality team on the pitch week in week out, especially after the Xmas break..... Time will tell I guess

Was a good hit out, we didn't keep score, played 4x15 min quarters, if we were keeping score flinders would have won by a bit, but to be fair after half time the standard dropped a fair bit. And port only had 13 players compared to our 18....

We are looking for another hit out this Sunday before our women's game at 4. I know wi and st brendans are unavailable but are there any sides keen for a run?

We have used it as a training exercise to introduce the new guys to the sport.

Thanks

BFG, the season start has been pushed back a week!
It was originally going to be masters games this weekend, but that fell through.
Probably a lucky thing given the Na Fianna Season Opening/Pub Crawl was booked in for this friday :partyman: :drinkers:

You're club delegate "The Wookie" Sam Janetski, should've let you know! Sounds like you guys aren't having one of these 'gaelic pre-seasons' which is currently in style!!!
I remember my first night at Na Fianna, rocked up 30 minutes before the game, met the coach for the first time, got changed & had about 5 minutes of skill work & rules thrown at me, then I was playing :D

Perhaps Coach Whippedford has cut you...?!

I believe the draw will be on the website either tonight or tomorrow night.

Very impressed/$hit$cared with all the talk of trial matches and pre-season training sessions etc that some clubs are doing. Can only be good for the comp, and Gaelic Footy in SA.

The Taints have left things things to the last minute (as always) to dabble into the transfer market, but are hopeful of jagging a few new players before the start (or at least end) of the season.

Guess we could use some of the 12 minors we have in our sevens minors team or players from our second sevens team....don't think numbers will be a problem in 2012
