aB, I think Michael Godden is a Lameroo boy (along with Ben Grieger).

You're right, though, he's a great bloke, totally respected at Westies and wherever he goes.

Congratulations to him and the Eagles.

Oh Yeah and to all the posters over theyears who said that SANFL is boring because of Centrals dominance you have got to be joking what a great last quarter by both sides unbelievable in a two horse race anything is possible as was proven today so all you other teams lift your game !!

Toumpas may not go yet. Hes only eligible for the GWS mini draft this year.

He is a gun, he showed unbelievable poise today!!!

GSW are all over him, fact.

Well done Eagles. Played better than us for the whole game. Great game of footy. Really proud of Centrals this year. Look forward to next season.

Watched it at the pub showing it in Sydney. Great game, you could tell the eags were on song straight away. big fight back by the dogs late but great poise.

Reinvigorating win by the eags, congrats, so glad the dogs didn't win it again.

Hopefully that is it for them and the other teams can get their shit together.

Well done to the bloke, BD on db.org, in getting the set up at the pub going. :)

So bloody relieved, what a finish, it was brown jocks time for sure. I am just in awe of CDFC, how they never give up and nearly stole it at the end, unbelievable.

So happy for the Eagles boys, they did it tough after losing the QF.

Great 3 quarters from Cicca, and Toumpas was amazing for a kid. Guiffreda did lots of hard work as did Greiger, and really the whol team put in. Powell and Lewis also v importnat and Parry was immense.

Thought Boyd was superb for the Dogs.

Really we were saved by Callinan having a poor day in front of the sticks. He couldn't buy a goal.

Brickbats to the SANFL again for the microphones not working during pressos and the sound failing during the natioanl anthem.

SANFL footy is alive and well. Great atmosphere at the game too. I really need to get to more games next year (embarrassed to say it was my first one for the year, even though I am a member.)

Useless fact of the day.

Every grand final today was won by the preliminary final winner.

Thank you Eagles, even if you lost me a small fortune.

Well done Eagles - the better team on the day and great to suck up the pressure in the last - enjoy the celebrations and the bragging rights! Can't say I enjoyed the game but the final quarter was great and I'm not too concerned about being beaten by a worthy opponent.

The final quarter was very similar to last years GF. Team in front reasonably confortably at three quarter time, sees their lead whittled away by a fast finishing opponent. Get a goal against the play then see the opposition hit the post. Withstand the pressure and take some telling marks and go on to win by a small margin.
