Keswick filled all 5 sides pretty easily i believe, a couple even missed out.

Big shout out to Glenn McGowran who may well be the first vision-impaired player in the comp.

Coromandel defeated Sheidow Park today in a good hit out. Sheidow 113 coro 2/116.
Good to see the Bulls stick around for a beer too.
For coromandel: koirala 3 wkts, lourens & Bruce 2 each.
With the bat. Ambler a very mature 41 and koirala a powerful 60 not out.

Ramblers over south road today. 8 for 157 to all out 86. Benson 62 Gorms 31. Wickets for us JC 5 for 17 including a hat trick. Lee simpson 3 for 16.

Look out for south roads new recruit Rob calder. Opening with krutli looks very very solid. Saw off the rambler quicks no worries. Something few teams could do on our deck last year. If they could get a full team in the park, could shock some teams.

very disappointing effort from sheidow in sec 6 today. Forfeited less than an hour before the start of play. Inexcusable.

Noone at the club was happy to do it, it's the clubs first forfeit in our 24 year history. The captain had 3 or 4 players pull out between 10 and 1130 when at the club. That left him 6 players and the sect 5 team still needed 2 players to fill spots. We had a total of 32 listed players unavailable this week. Inexcusable maybe not but very disappointing for our club to be forced into such a decision at that late a stage.

Those players pulling out probably not guys worth keeping around the club. Still, the club should have realised the situation was diabolical Friday night so our boys didn't turn up to the game.

Well done Belair, big surprise I admit. I expected bigger things from Keswick this year.

Disappointed and somewhat shocked at the WYC hierarchy. Any club that willfully chooses to use a 2-piece ball on turf is a joke. Keswick were/are prepared to swap the oppositions match ball for a 4-piece ball at no cost the opposition. While your are well within your rights to make such demands i thought i was nothing but childish insanity - evidence no one in your clubs administration has any appreciation for the game of cricket. Who the f**k chooses to use a 2-piece ball on turf? seriously.

Regardless, the 2-piece balls held up ok and it was a really fun game, much banter and chuckles to be had, the game was played in great spirits and both sides enjoyed the challenge of playing on a real cricket pitch despite the pathetic and juvenile instructions given to your captain.

WUB........Will 7 wickets ?? great effort ! By far and away the best leg spinner at the club even at his ripe old age. How many is that now in his career ?

Is there any truth to the rumours that Jason Akermanis is playing for plympton on day two next week as part of their sportsmans night?
Saw a Ramblers player at the duck Inn last night after play with one other bloke after a win, 5 fa and a hatrick. Do the Ramblers not drink together or do the Ramblers just not drink with the individual?

No doubt j-dub was superb, not only did he take 7/19 off 8 with his perfectly flighted leggies, he was asked to fill in as captain by me at 11:30 yesterday morning! This man has played all bar two seasons of the club's existence and would be pushing around 450 games I reckon. Some of the old old older blokes would remember he used to be an A Grade fast bowler! But now he wows them with his leggies. Approx 750 wickets I believe and there's no signs of him slowing down. Great work John Williams!
