If that was to happen, the crows would be the big losers.

That isn't the rumour Wedgie. Brisbane are going to make a play for Tippett.

Disagree. He has a quality that cant be taught, how to read the play and win the ball, he does however burn the ball somewhat with skill errors but he can improve that. I'd be prepared to give away a second round pick and a player to get Ebert in our mid-field.

*edit-CK's comments*

Spewing Port didn't grab Lycett from under our own nose.

That seems fair. Can't see Lycett getting much opportunity with the big Cox and Nic Nat in front of him and not going anywhere. If Adelaide trade out Maric and Tippet then they will need Scotty for the back up ruckman/forward role.

Other option is
Lycett + Ports priority pick to the Crows
Ebert to Port
Tippet to Brissy
Clark to West Coast
with probably a few other draft picks thrown around a bit.

is there a way Port could work D.Pearce in to a trade with West Coast for Ebert, he would probably suit the open spaces of subiaco and obviously not in favour at Port?

Why would WCE want someone who has the work ethic of a crab when he gets tagged. No thanks.

Lycett has the ability to play as a key forward in future years in fact i think thats where he might end up. I would hate to lose him so early.

Lynch on the way out?

Clarke FF, Darling FP, Kennedy CHF, LeCras other FP

Pretty potent forward line with Cox and Nic Nat going through there as well.

if they traded lynch and we got clarke to replace him in the forward line/ruck occasionally def an improvement.
altho lynch did have a real solid year this year.

id be more keen to get another defender or attacking midfielder tho...

but if clarke wants to come to west coast I wont say no..

i thought freo would be pretty keen to get him seeing they need a forward, or has clarke said eagles?

No he hasnt chosen us, I think his preference is Fremantle but his main preference is Perth. WQould be silly not to ask about him even if Lynch stays. Our main priorities are a quick goalkicking mid or an attacking skillful HB but you cant ignore a player of Clarks capabilitites if he wants to come to the club.

On Lycett yes played a good first up game as a Key Forward and i think thats where we will see him for the next couple of years. Scott Burns has said he wants Darling to play high HFF and push into the middle so that leaves space in the 50.

But would he get tagged at WC where the likes of priddis, kerr and shuey are much more dangerous?

Once he starts playing well yes.

Everyone knows how to keep Pearce quiet. Work him over. Until he improves his workrate and breaking tags his football will continue to stagnate.

BS, he would never get tagged at WC. Kerr, Priddis, Embley, Schuey, LeCras, hell even Hurn and the damn waterboy! It would do great things to WCE IMHO!
