It was 9-1 and we lost by under a goal. I remember it because in an interview afterwards he mentioned if he had kicked 10 goals straight we would have won

I was there that night as well - I was handing out the SA cardboard sunvisors for a night game ;) Sounds silly, but true.
They were numbered and one lucky spectator was some cash for their number being called out at 3/4 time.

Nah, was most certainly 10 goals that "Sticks" kicked that night. I remember it cos I just checked the video about 3 minutes ago! You are right about the margin, we lost by 4 points.

Definitely.

Rocky Roberts chipped in with four and pretty sure someone else snagged the other two.

Never forgive my Mum for not letting me go that night. Our school footy teams got free tickets for some reason. But I wasn't allowed to go because I wouldn't get home until late on a school night.

She almost buckled at one point.

Bitch.

Pretty sure the other two goals were schneebicler (no idea how to spell it, the guy who played for glenelg and south i think) and the other goal was motley from a hanger in the goal square. MP your mother is a lovely lady ;)

Will always remember that night as one of the most amazing nights of my footy life. We sat behind the northern goals and were only metres from "that" mark of Peter Motley. Have never heard such a roar at Football Park before or since, when he brought that down. One of the best games of footy I've ever seen live.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Never forgive my Mum for not letting me go to Russell Ebert's last game against Norwood in '85.

Wasn't allowed to go because I had the flu and didn't go to school the previous few days.

Rugged up in my Port jumper with Magpie emblem, thick wool guernsey, "Craig 21 Bradley" duffle coat, pom-pom beanie, scarfe, fleecey adidas tracksuit and two pairs of footy socks.

She almost buckled at one point.

Graham Cornes

Daylight, love him for all his character traits that I've learnt about being involved with the Glenelg Footy Club

My first guernsey when I started playing footy seriously was #12.

There are times I curse him when I think of the last 35 years barracking for Glenelg (e.g. 1990 & 2009) but then I think Nup, I love the place/club. Thanks Cornesy for make me barracking for the Bays.

I love my club.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Smooth-moving HFF/FF with long left-foot kick and good high mark for someone who was probably only about 5'10 or 11". Was Glenelg's leading goalkicker from '65-'67, with 61, 37 and 45. Had mini purple patch in '67 when he kicked 7.5 one week and followed it up with 11.1 against Woodville the next.
