A story for the grandkids one day. Maybe I am a better bowler than I thought.
Was no co-incidence that our front line bowlers coveniently showed up just as the little master was finishing his hit.
Meanwhile, it's Lucky Gilbert Valley practice against Jimmy V, coz B.Woodards and Matty Blinks were searingly quick last night.
If Woody bowls like that Saturday GV will be lucky to make 20.
2ft of inswing was almost unplayable.
Beware.

Must agree with you Stewie, certainly some heat by both even had B Burgess snr jumping around a bit. Anyone know how to put clearances through on my cricket cause I am having serious trouble

If GT Sports is correct, S.T Koch will be playing at Dawson's Creek.
Big loss from the umpires fraternity.
Will also be interesting to see how the Little Master hits the leather on Saturday!
Getting on Fuller for Cricketer of the Year, followed closely by Burgess Snr.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?

Wow let's hope the coach vets what he wants or he might quit. Is the club wanting to move up to grade 1 if it's good enough? Evert time I talk to anyone from there all they say is we want to stay in div 1 res.

Can someone confirm if any of the turf decks will be ready tomorrow?

I would suggest that the Sandy Creek and South A graders might want to pack their TAB guides tomorrow because they have no chance of the Sandy Creek pitch being right...Its not great even when it hasnt been raining for a week...

South might be happy to split the points anyway...

Be suprised if any turf decks go ahead this week. Heard Kapunda, Nuri and Tanunda wont get any play, still waiting for confirmation that our 2's are off at Stocky aswell

Might be worthwhile considering in Round 1 next year that if there are all one-dayers then teams with hard wickets
could host all the games, being October and rain more likely would mean no abandoned games due to soft pitches.
If Round 1 is 2-dayers it doesn't matter as much as it can possibly be salvaged with a one-day game the week after.
On a brighter note if we can roll Gilbert Valley tomorrow we will get a neat little start on several of the challengers to our crown in the one-day comp.

Yeah agree with the round one on hard wicket idea...

I did notice that Nuri had their A2s playing on the back oval at Nuri while our A3s were playing theirs on the main deck which has now been called off by the look of it. I would have thought the higher grades would play on the turf before the lower ones...

I was on my way back to work from Gawler and thought that I would go past Sandy Creek Oval to see if there is any chance of a game tomorrow. Obviously Norm thinks so cause he was out there ironing the pitch trying everything to get the pitch up.

On Sandy Creek, which grade was the great man S. Koch going to make his debut in tomorrow or will we need to wait an extra week to read his name in the local rags.

The big fella will make his debut in the A3's at Williamstown. He is looking fitter than ever and was even seen running laps at training last night

Laps? Only time I have seen the big man run was in pursuit of an ice-cream van.
Could his bowling be an X-Factor for the Cockies in the one-day comp this year?

Nice debut for the big fella today, picked up a wicket 2nd ball and then opened the bat and made a quick 87. May find himself going up through the grades quickly

Well that's the end to tanunda not winning a game this year. A win today over Gawler centrals with a ball to spare.
