Who do you suggest REB, plenty of great young Aussie talent out there.
Its fairly out there but i would love to see someone like the Hilltop Hoods get a gig. A fair section of the crowd is at that age where it would go off. I was only joking about AC/DC by the way, i think its time the AFL catered fir the younger generation

Hate it when people try to change the Anthem and put their own mark on it.

Didn't get to see the Meatloaf debacle at the GF show I went to we were otherwise 'entertained' by a 'dancer' and judging by the comments floating around it was much better......

Did manage to see the Anthem abomination though

Part of the sport in watching the extravaganza became trying to guess which extremely familiar piece of pop history the Loafster was currently strangling. Fortunately the female backing vocalist (read ''lead vocalist'') sang almost exactly like Meat Loaf used to, thus proving invaluable at sketching in the original melody lines.

All in all it was a great deal of money spent on somebody who largely sounded like your elderly uncle singing in the shower. Maybe next time they should just hire the backing singer, at a considerable saving.

I read somewhere else that during the live overseas feed Anthony Hudson was heard to say on his mic that Andrew Demetriou should be sacked over signing up Meat Loaf for the pre-game entertainment.

Good call, but Demetriou has entrenched himself nicely, only way out of that job is in a pine box.

Meat Loaf was still pretty good back in the 90's but he's clearly lost it and isn't healthy at all.

If they're going to book 70's acts, then shame they didn't hand over that wad of cash to Suzi Quatro, after seeing her on RocKwiz, it's good to see she can still belt out a tune.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

I live in the past with my music, but its about time they should get current bands performing at these gigs or at least make sure the person can sing well live.

At least thanks to Alan Didak it wasn't the worst performance seen on the MCG yesterday.

Acoustics were terrible at the ground so we thought it was the speakers but then everyone at home started texting me asking if he was better live, we didn't think it could get much worse hardly being able to hear it but it sounded like we got the good end of the stick. Shame too as I was looking forward to seeing him.

Has anyone even spent $100+ on an AFL GF ticket because of who is performing pre match.

What a F**King waste of money.

Supporters of the team that wins dont care because all they remember is the game and celebrations and supporters of the losing team try and forget the whole day.

Money would have been alot better spent if put back into state league clubs, amatuer/country clubs.

Can't go wrong with Up There Cazaly and throw in Greg Champion singing "That's the thing about football" and I'd be happy.
So you've seen everything have you?

Just watched Eskimo Joe perform before the NRL GF, that was about 1,000,000,000,000,000% better than the Loaf.
