As for Norman coaching West...strong chance he'd be looking for a new club sometime around the 1st of July next year...

Anything on the Dogs front? I was hearing a few rumours around this time last year...

We don't sack em during the year like the bays  I think Phillips resigned in 06?

I heard Bassett after the match today being interviewed on 5AA.

The question was asked about what recruits they need this year. Bassett answered he would be focussing on strengthening the midfield as he isn't worried about hte forward line given 'it is already taken care of'. He then went on to say that they have already signed a forward and are close to gaining another one. But he didn't provide any names. Anyone know more?

Given Norwood only kicked 7 goals in two finals I wouldn't be worried either..

I see Toby Pinwell got BOG in the VFL Grand Final, i know Central were close to signing him a few years ago and with a couple of midfielders potentially retiring i wonder if the Dogs will re-visit.

No doubt you'll sign him and he'll win 3-4 flags with you lot. Too easy this game.

For your team, it kind of is actually.

You could've signed some random kid during half time kick and a catch and he'd turn into a gun in your side.

Be nice if we could replace the Twins with another set of Twins.
Appropriately, we could give Them a Gemini for signing on.

together with the players that are (apparently) leaving, next year could be bad for them.

yes, and if you combine last year's losses with what looks like happening now at Norwood, things could be pretty grim. 2 retired already, probably lose another 2 or 3 in the draft and maybe (probably) 2 or 3 more biggish names retire. Time to roll out the brown paper bags!! ;)

Rumour has it that Westies also spoke to him in the past and may well be interested again. Think he has put feelers out to more than one SANFL club over the years to consider his options $$$ wise.
