We played Craigmore in a coupla T20's on Saturday. We lost both games but a good hitout nonetheless and good for people like me who havent really hit a ball since last year. Wicky'd the first game and sore as a mofo right now. Looks like we have seen the return of a coupla of club favs in greg matthews and Mr Yap. Thanks to Criagmore for coming down for the hit, good luck for the coming year.

Did Mr Yap and Matsy play mate? As far as i knew, Mr Yap was playing in a one dayer for Golden Grove on Sunday against East Torrens. I would be surprised if Yap went back as his son has started training at Golden Grove as well. Mattsy i wouldn't be surprised if he decided to go back there.

Super hit some big hits...30 ish, Harry was his usual self elegantly playing some shots till he got out to a lazy one...Azz was looking alright....Pidge bowled okay and even got some swing  .... no-one really stood out but we blew some cobwebs out and it was probably indicitive of where we are at this point of the pre season....i thought our bowlers were a bit off the mark, though it wouldnt have been easy with the pitch only cleared during the week and top soil all around the run ups. There was no Giggs, Loechel, Smith, Noddy or Rove playing.

From what i saw and heard from their players Craigmore might struggle this year having lost some decent players.

Haha yes they do, but i dont really want to leave the roys. I wouldnt say i have good income, i just have to make a few sacrifices, like reducing the amount of times i hit up the woolshed lol. Yea well the hair gel is a different story, still costing me a bloody fortune. But she appreciates it :P
Haha cheers Ted :P

Auto, was a great day mate. We all appreciated the hospitality. Great facilities there!
Was good to get a hit against unknown bowlers and assess where we are in our pre season preparations. Particularly being able to see how our younger fellas measure up.
Personally, was good to make some runs in the middle too.

Look forward to hosting you boys up north next season.
With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!

Did these boys play footy for Mawson Lakes?

you picking up the bat this year Riddler... pretty sure i know who you are.

I've gained flight clearance from the wife so yes if the knee holds up I may dabble in the odd game for Rose Park even if they may have turfed my brother-in-law as skipper for some old hack :)

Riddler any chance the Cactus Cup will make a comeback this year I'm sure we can get off a few games for some representative cricket.

 We may be able to squeeze in a couple over summer but i'm not sure if the big wide world is quite ready for Cactus Cup just yet, it could potentially be bigger than the IPL once it gets off the ground
