shaun holland has been appointed coach for CUFC
i can tell you from fact that it had nothing to do with Andy
nothing to do with players leaving
who he could bring with him
or even if he was going to play or not
the fact was he was and is the best applicant for the job
his knowledge of the game, league, players and the division and his blue print for the club going into the future is the reason he was appointed
and the rumors that it was a done deal along time ago is completely false
everyone should take note that CUFC have given them self the best possible chance of success in the future, not only on but also off the field
congratulations to dutchy,a great choice and i am sure he will be great for this club and for the league

Deeman,
Some times you post utter crap. Do you actually know Dutchy? i dont mean maybe talking to him a couple of times or having a beer a few times. You love for Dutchy amazes me. Dutchy was asked over 6 weeks ago to do the Central United job.
Central United was worried about losing a lot of players if they didn't change coaches. I personally spoke to a committee member who asked Dutchy to do the job and he told me this. They were going to lose around 10 players if Andy stayed on.
Now i know you will say i have to much time on my hands and i post utter crap but this is the truth.
Before you go and say i dont know Dutchy or anything like that, i have known Dutchy for over 15 years mate, not a couple of hellos here and there champ.
Dutchy will do a great job coaching but hasn't been around amateur league in over 4 years and may of missed the boat on a few players from his former club.
Stop saying people don't know crap just because it doesn't agree with your well known life lessons champ.

Has it been 4yrs already since he was at Paralowie? Either way I imagine he will still have the pulling power to attract players from Paralowie to CU.
Not only that, but he still keeps in the loop in the happenings in each division, and i've seen him at games when he has been injured or not playing for Peake, so don't think he would be far off the mark next year with his expectations of the league.
Will he be a player/coach?

The bloke is well known by MANY and will do a better job than majority of coaches at this level. And will lead by example on the field as well. There's always for's and against's everytime there's a coaching change at any level

Mate if u r going to have a go at least get your facts right. Dutchy had been at Peake for at least 4 seasons. Fact!
And I never said he would do a bad job as I know he will go well.

Correct played at least 3, but not consecutively like you indicated earlier. Two seasons at Paralowie between stints at Peake.
