the young blondie working the pro shop is worth the drive down there. Any way played sunday and monday. both days wind was ok. but if the wind is up look out it will be a vert tough course. This course is in good nick. Greens very fast and fairways give you a chance. Rough is tough typical links course. The back 9 is all marked out. from all reports take about 2 more years till its finished.

I missed the blonde, we got some older guy.

We were first off on Sunday, shot 45 & 41 with a triple bogey on the 18th costing me a sub 40 back 9  first time Ive broken 90 all year so pretty happy.

Have finally worked out my driver and turned my slice into a fade which Im rapt with.

Course was in better nick than when I played in July and reckon it will only get better after a wet winter and then when the ground gets some heat into it, it will green up beautifully. Greens are as good as you will find anywhere, just hope they can keep the weeds out of it and keep it like that.

I havent played it yet when the wind has been up but can imagine how tough it will be. If you have played Lady Bay its pretty similar however its easiet than the Lady, not as much rough or undulations and the fairways are much wider. Its more of a resort course than a championship course IMO.

Got to keep an eye out for Scoopon's, only cost us $39 for the round and buggy for two. Would normally cost $65 each!

Shit, forgot all about it and I've got a wedding to go to this Saturday...so Sunday is out for me.

I'm happy to still arrange it if there are numbers?

Went to Kooyonga last Monday for a corporate day.

Smacked some nice 250+ drives on several occasions including almost reaching the pond on 17. Must also add if invited there for a corporate event move heaven and earth to make it there for the day. Course is top notch and afterwards the food is awesome

Anyone played at Highecombe before? Never played there so not sure what to expect. Booked in to play there on Sunday morning with a group of 4 of us.

Played Lady Bay last Sunday- In reasonable nick, plenty of run on the fairways. Greens pretty good, but Ive seen them better.

Managed an 89 with a 10 and a 7  - had a tin cup moment on the 14th... after driving into the water on the right I managed to plonk another 2 in before changing clubs (idiot). First double figure in a long time, and the group managed to chat about it all the rest of the round/trip home. Cost me bourbons on the way home too. Bastards!

Next round Echunga in 2 weeks

My last round (about 2 weeks ago now) was at Thaxted Park. I like playing this course early morning as there is still a bit of dew in the greens.
Ended up with a 93 (best score in a while), could have been lower if I didn't lose my shit on the 9 and come off with a 9 (4putt)!
Nearly holed the 6th Par 3. Ended up about 2 foot short but, put it in for a nice 2 ;)
Hoping to get out for a hit next Sunday and in the process of organising a hit with Keefy @ The Vines

Anyone played down on the Mornington Penisula?

We are heading over for the Presidents Cup but playing golf on the Thursday and going to head down there, thinking Moonah Links or St Andrews Beach
