if i was to hire a paving company to do it, anyone have rough ideas

Just had my pool area done. 65sqm of paving and paid $1600 including materials.

Worked out to roughly $24 per square. Bloke did a great job, flung him and extra $100 as he removed a shitload of tree roots he dug up whilst preparing the base.

Pavers from Best were 400 x 400 Limestone Bevelled edge and paid $41sqm.

Did that include a rubble base? That's very cheap.

Johno What sort, pattern, size of area, access, & suburb you live (for soil type) ?
Need excavation (allowing for a rubble base about 100mm all up) ?

Didn't need it, just a good layer of 100m of paving sand as the area was very compact by the back fill rubble/sand used for the pool.

Your job so you'd know better than me.
Main problem with fibreglass pools is the backfill around the pool itself, you rely on the pool company to do the right thing, washed sand backfill compacted etc. Have reinstated many a pool (& house foundations for that matter) that have sunk a year after paving was installed due to the shonky bastards backfilling with the existing crap they excavated. I usually try to get customers to wait 6 months so the ground goes through 2 seasons, even the ground around the pool is usually pretty unstable & needs settling.

Johno, that price sounds about right. Just make sure they use 'Pavelok' or similar grouting sand on 400's, gel based product that has a bit of give but won't crack.

Um, try a pub. I've always bought my kegs from a pub in the past and never had any worries getting them. I havn't brought one in the last 3 years though so not sure of costs these days.

This one amazed me, would be interested to hear the perspective of some of the ladies on here about where Miranda Kerr sits in many of their opinions. She isn't the first mother to return to work that I was aware of, and thought personally there would be many more admirable women:

I love Miranda Kerr.

Apart from the obvious, pretty, great sense of humour, great personality, great body...lol....I suppose I 'admire' her because she is so down to earth, level headed, seems to remember her 'family/groundning' even though she is quite famous now. She's seems strong and knows what she wants. I suppose to top that off you've just got to look at her baby and see how happy, joyful and content he is and how she 'is' with him.

Anyway - I really like her and am not surprised that she is voted as number 1.

O:)

I NEED TO KNOW....

This is a (predominantly) football based site, right?

Why do people constantly use terms like "my team" and "we're going alright," when they flatly refuse to list the teams they are barracking for on their profile?

There would be a crash course in the announcements section on how to accomplish this minor goal, but some people just won't nut up and tell us who they are supporting...

People, please!
