Not sure sure why Sojourner just doesn't come out and tell us who he is referring to when he comes up with his rumours . Also not sure why he rarely seems to reply with a back up to his rumours.

He is referring to West and I would like to know if he has seen there balance sheet. ?Over to you Sojourner.

Considering the year isnt finished yet, I am not sure Lester how I would see any clubs balance sheet outside of what is presented to the members of the club? I already explained why I chose not to name the club concerned. The reason that I choose not to identify my sources is because I dont want the mail to stop - yes I have got several rumours wrong over the years, but I have also been across several more than were in fact correct weight, take it or leave it is my advice to you.

While I'm not against the idea, I worry that if we start tampering with the integrity of the league it leaves it more susceptible to the arguments of those in favour of the AFL reserves idea

or indeed more susceptible to the AFL, fullstop. If it cannot be done without AFL funding then it ain't worth doing.

Quite simply by looking at the publicly available balance sheets.

West Adelaide own their freehold premises, which from memory is valued around $4m, other clubs dont that Im aware of.

Interesting to read Grey Morris' tome in the NT News on Thunders possible entry into the SANFL and the demands for players. I can see Sturt voting no to any entry....

Unless if he thinks it will be the same length season (with 10 clubs) as 1974; 1977-1989 i.e. 22 rounds.
