Callinan is a class above, Thomas is genuine quality regardless of what role he plays (and to the Norwood supporter in the Members during the last quarter claiming Thomas was the worst captain in SANFL history, you just made yourself look like a tool), and that Central will once again do it easy.

Hayes' report was a little jab to the guts of Pfeiffer during the second quarter. Pfeiffer went down, hoping I think a field umpire saw it, once no free kick was paid he was up and moving again. Could've been a free kick but no report in it.

Eagleton's little shot on the members wing to Schiller's head in a pack was also there, should've been a free kick but Goodrem was the only one that saw it, and obviously did something about it. The free kick went Norwood's way, a case of the retaliator being punished.

I couldn't believe when I heard Gallagher had 28 disposals after the game, didn't notice him at all. Thought Suckling, Georgiou, McGuinness (even though a couple of his turnovers were terrible) and Pfeiffer were Norwood's best.

Great fella, wasn't he? Spent some time in the cooler at the end of the match apparently.

Dogs choked the crap out of the game until Norwood had been talked out of wanting it anymore. Another regulation finals win. I love my club.

Where you blokes sitting to the bsy just left of the Norwood race? If so, that bald-headed bloke was a total knob, and was the one teaboy was refferring to earlier. Just no call for the extent to which he acted yesterday. Almost thought he mst have been juiced up on something
But then Pag, a couple other Norwood supporters weren't afr off the money saying tit's your first game for the year ;)

I reckon that bloke was talking to me and my group (we were the ones in main 'conversation' with the aforementioned gentleman) - we'd missed about five games between us this season, all totalled, so he was a fair way off the mark!

Sorry mate, can't agree with that .. Either play and give it everything, or don't play at all - Nothing in between is acceptable IMHO.

As you pointed out, his workrate is way down (fitness, injury, mental???) and I would rather see someone in the team that can get to 30 contests throughout the day rather than someone who can only get to 15 contests.

Fair point guys but blame Bass not Eagleton. They keep picking him

Well, I guess he's not in the side for an ability to get to a lot of contests, but because he has good decision-making skills and has the ability to execute disposal at high efficiency, which does fit into Bass's game plan, especially regarding forward entries and precision kicking to leads and not kicking long to one-on-two contests.

Oh good. Right decision for the big unit, not sure how Hayes will go. I thought he struggled a bit too yesterday.

They have been instructed to report the player if there is any doubt as the new tribunal points system and match review panel will take care if the incident accordingly.

Sutherland report withdrawn, Hayes offered a week......

Will Eagleton also be offered a week for his sly punch to Schiller........I doubt it

I wonder if Hayes' 1 week can be downgraded for an early guilty plea?

I doubt it. The penalties they offer usually include all the discounts, so if he has been offered 1 week then we'll have to take it to the tribunal to get him available for the GF. Hopefully if it's as soft a hit as some are saying we can try the "below the force required" defense. But if it's not on camera it might become an umpire vs player type situation, which rarely goes the way of the player.

Time for Darren Pfeiffer to go to the tribunal and be honest.
If that means Hayes gets another game because of it so be it.
Hopefully Pfeiffer says that he milked it and Hayes gets a reprimand or off.
I like many others did not see the incident.
Lucky Sutherland's incident was on camera because we know what happens at the tribunal when it is an umpires word versus a player.
Save the ABC broadcasts.

The two Norwood fans at work were very quiet today - one took the day off and the other hid from me all day until I managed to bail him up at about 4:30pm!

Lairdy proved again how good a coach he is.

He went to his defensive go to man Paul Thomas and gave him the big job as he does so often.

On a beautiful dry Sunday Lairdy wasnt afraid to go with the smaller forward set up on a day which was almost perfect for tall forwards.

Luke Barmby has to be close to the most improved player in the SANFL this year, gone a depth adder fringe player to being close to one of the elite small defenders in the comp.

Like I said in an earlier post, once Pfeiffer realised there was no free kick forthcoming as the field umpires didn't see it, he was up and moving again, no retaliation and didn't seem angered at all.

But will the tribunal take that into account?

Must frustrate some that Numpty, Numpty won't be sitting on the wall grand final day.
Rather he'll be helping the opposition to have a great fall.
