Dogs too good again, Norwood hung pretty tough considering their injury toll.

Havelberg in doubt, will Schell play?
Sutherland reported for charging, technically correct decision and could easily get a week.
Campbell ACL, Young broken ankle
Eagles look early favs for next week you would think.

Centrals applied fantastic defensive pressure on Norwood today and they struggled to cope at best and completely capitulated at worst. Norwood, surprisingly, were largely uncompetitive today. Centrals on the other hand, raised the bar in finals matches as they famously do and in the end had a runaway win to reach their 12th straight grand final.

Also, I think it's about time Centrals actually lodge a complaint against the amount of times a Centrals player gets reported for the pettiest of petty things. Seems to be just about every week a Centrals player gets booked, and bar the two incidents at Prospect, all have been laughed out of the tribunal. The two reports today I suspect will have a similar fate.

Well played Centrals too good on the day.

After fifty years Centrals finally edged before Norwood in finals record, hopefully we get a chance to balance the ledger in two weeks time.

Apart from the whole skill thing I thought Norwood were very competitive today, despite the horrendous injuries we copped. Hilarious to see that massive numpty get reported in the last minute of the game, exactly how thick can one individual be?

Amazing effort by Centrals with the 12 in a row, we'll never see a dynasty like this again in our life time (if this one ever ends!).

I've been really disappointed with Norwood's last two efforts against the Dogs as in the matches North supporters have seen this year Norwood have been clearly the best team going around. Maybe they'll turn it around but hard to see after 2 comprehensive beatings.

It reminded me of watching Norwood playing against Port Adelaide in the late 1950s.
Tough, hard, and a game of bruising attrition, where Centrals truly wear the mantle of the old Magpies.
(That style of game is why I decided I'd rather play Hockey at High School, but it does win.)

Well done doggies, an amazing year thus far. I thought with ten minutes to go, roy should have taken pumpa, and nutta off ( just in case), stupid thing for pumpa to do. It would have been a big effort for Norwood to get up, after losing two good players.
Good to win without much input from havelberg. Great game by the defence. Justin hardy was very good. Well done to the reserves also.
Highlighted today, how bad the eagles game plan was last week. Pressure is a key.

Thought our defence was awesome to hold the Dogs to 5 goals at the half but with the injuries and no rotations we were aleays going to be overun in last half.
Our skills were apalling today and our intensity was nowhere near Centrals.
Cant see us getting up next week but give the cup to them now they will win the GF by 10 goals against either opponent

I was there the day Ian Callinan kicked 'THAT' goal!

Boy how slow was Norwoods ball movement today every time they won possesion in the back half they slowed play up and allowed Centrals to man up on any lose Norwood players one kick down the play.

Great to be in 12 GF's thats all i wanted at the start of the year. Whatever happens on GF day will be.

Central fans in brilliant voice today especially Barry's 'everywhere we go'

Best way possible to celebrate my birthday

I don't know if anyone heard Cornesy on Friday night say that Bassett is a better coach with a better team than Lairdy and the Dogs... Wonder if he still believes this.

Unfortunately couldn't get to the game today, well done lads on another GF... Felt for the Leggies today, serious injuries really screwed them, from being able to fight back...

We were totally outplayed today, constant pressure and hardness at the ball and body always wins out. I thought our defence again held up fairly well and some how managed to keep Norwood in the game. Poor forward line entry and poor kicking for goal and some horrific mistakes just showed the difference between the two sides.

Hard to see us getting up next week, I'd expect the Eagles to win fairly comfortably but even if we did manage a win we would get smashed the week after. Give them the Cup now.

NW matched CD for intensity
But the skill level of NW was abyssMAL
The skill level of CD was good
CD once again often flooded the NW forward line, and it worked again

QUESTION
NW keep playing this tall forward line set up
It does not work against the Dogs on spacy venues
The question is has NW under Bassett kicked 10 + goals in any game ?
