Because he watches Fox News and reads Andrew Bolt?

Gravity is groupthink!

And your problem with Fox News is?

A 2010 Stanford University survey found "more exposure to Fox News was associated with more rejection of many mainstream scientists’ claims about global warming, [and] with less trust in scientists".[56] A 2011 Kaiser Family Foundation survey on U.S. misperceptions about health care reform similarly found that Fox News viewers scored lower for factual knowledge than other news viewers.[57] A 2010 Ohio State University study of public misperceptions about the so-called "Ground Zero Mosque" found that viewers who relied on Fox News were 66% more likely to believed incorrect rumors than those with "low reliance" on Fox News.

Aside from the very right-wing bias it's lack of facts and all round dishonesty.

and yet the chief political editor David Speers is a raving left wing loonie who tries to disguise his views but fails miserably.
Do we need another thread for this?

Here's the NASA updates page so you can work out when to put your head between your legs and kiss your butt goodbye...

Bloody thing needn't bother crashing here...got a big food fair to go to at Cawdor Castle tomorrow and the A96 is a bugger at the best of times. Crashing space debris will just snarl the traffic right up. Might take a flask out just in case.

Odds of someone being killed by debris 1 in 3200. I like those odds.

locky801 wrote:Just heard on the radio that the satellite that is heading towards earth may in fact crash in Adelaide within the next 24 hours.

Scientists say that they will be able to give about 8 hours warning before it crashes as to an approx location

The 20-year-old Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite is expected to break into 100 pieces, many of which will burn on re-entry.

But scientists said 26 pieces - some weighing up to 135kg - are expected to survive. The debris could be scattered over an area about 800km long

Now for the waiting game  ~x( :ympray:

and people wonder why other people dismiss global warming, climate change and other speculative theories/ideas that scientists put up? How on earth could some boffin estimate 26 pieces some weighing up to 135 kg may survive. Why not 135 pieces weighing 26 kg or six zillion weighing 13 grams each? Complete bollocks.

Because thats what boffins do.

Yeah! Screw science!!! It should be banned!
