Not overly keen on Josh Hill but was a crows fan growing up which could make the deal easier if they chose to go that option.

They reckon 5 Victorian Clubs are interested in Gunston. This being the case we can play hard ball a bit and get something decent in return.

We will even through in Symes and Sellar to sweeten the deal ;)

What would there 2nd rd pick be? High 30's?

Wouldnt be the worst player to get.

Carlton from all reports are targetting him hard!

Surely Gunston to Carlton in straight swap for Russell would be a good reslut for both clubs.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

At the moment we don't need half backers, we got doughty, jaench, Armstrong, Martin and otten and tambling . But if armstrong goes the needs may change.
I like the look of Mackay on one wing and Ellis on the other

Saw abit of him for SA in the U/18s and was impressived. Quick, good skills with a big left foot kick.

Wouldnt be unhappy with this trade at all!

Russell is a lot bette player than any of that crew mentioned above though.

Wouldnt Gunston be better off going to the Blues than say the Hawks who have 2 fwds all ready in Roughy & Buddy. Plenty more opportunity at the Blues than the Hawks I would have thought personally.

The exodus continues, Armstrong now looking for a trade to Sydney. You have to wonder whether Adelaide is going to be able to find acceptable deals for all of these players, and what will happen if they don't.

I foresee Gunston being the toughest. Adelaide know his potential value, but finding a Melbourne club that will pay on that value will be tough I reckon.

Fortunatley for the AFC the draft is also comprimised with GWS this season making it a much harder gig to recruit good younger players, think Gunston will have several interested parties as a result!

Fair point. Word is one GWS has picked the best there's not going to be much left for the rest in the draft either.
