Also, someone like Sanderson has only worked recently with the group of coaches at Geelong and he's not going to be able to bring them all over with him so to some extent he has to work with what is already there. That's not to say a hard call should be avoided but one of the skills a senior coach needs is being able to get the best out of his assistants even if he hasn't worked with them before.
