Bit different having Jim Maxwell as a tv commentator instead of radio. I do rate him as a commentator though.

Clarke brings up his 50 with a nice six over mid off of Herath, who's bowling with the new ball.

4/279

Hussey 13

4 for 220, lead by 63, Hughes out for 126

Why quote me, you think I am wrong? Clearly not worthy of being dropped but seriously a brain fade by him in the current situation.

Also, if these ******* Sri lankans keep appealing when the ball pitches outside leg, I'll do my nut!

Did I say you were wrong? I was simply adding the score as you hadn't. Current score for those who don't have access is 4 for 244

Play on then ;)

An absolute treat.

A description of Clarke's last four - "another glittering boundary from Clarke".

Tony Greig would be lucky to notice that the bloody thing had made the fence. Seriously, does that bloke keep even half an eye on the sport he's supposed to be commentating?

Wheres all the critics ???????????????????????????????????????
Quick to criticise Clark for playing that flimsy shot in the first dig
Has played his shots in his glorious match saving 2nd dig, and NO critics
Oh thats right there gunna wait for Clarke to get out to an attacking shot before they post

As for Phillip Hugues, got out to a flimsy sweep, but he attacked and made a 100 +
Thats the way for him to bat ALL the time
Unless we are 9 for with a few overs left

AU are gunna win this series 1-0
Clarkes been a mostly attacking skipper
His batsman as a rule have played thier shots
AU have made the play and deserve to win

AU 4/304

Quick to criticise Clarke for many of those windy wafts outside off. The fella seems like he has the potential to be a very good captain, I've been loving the moves he's made in the field. Attacking shots are not the problem. That ugly swipe at wide balls that gets him out so often is. It's the only thing stopping him from becoming a great in the long run at the mo. And that shot has been noticeably absent from this innings, apart from once.

Hughes - totally agree. The kid has to live and die by that sword. And us supporters will have to get used to it.

I still don't like Hughes, but I cant exactly bag him right now considering he just bashed a 100+.

Although interesting to see that in his career, most of his runs come in 2nd innings - not the 1st like they should! Good 2nd digs just inflating his already average stats.

Well done to Michael Clarke, true skippers knock today, losing Hughes early today could have caused us dramas but he put his head down, played some great cricket shots and hopefully this is the start of a long successful captains campaign :D
