Harry Taylor very stiff to miss out IMO. Could have easily replaced one of his Geelong team mates in a back pocket or CHB in front of Reid. Just seems to be that if you finish on top of the ladder you must be guaranteed half a dozen All Australian jumpers.

Petrie is the best contested mark in the comp, unfortuantely cause we get stuff all FTA games many of you havent seen how good he has been this year.

No one can tell me Murphy has been more damaging than Wells this year.

Has Enright been that good this year or his reputation from past years get him over the line.

I personally think both Deledio & Birchill were better this year.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Wells has probably suffered as a result of the high expectations placed on him throughout his career and the fact many consider his output this year as a case of developing further and not truly being at the peak of his (expected) powers. I agree that this should not impact upon AA selection, just my view.

How many games did Wells and Petrie play this year?
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

Both played 21, Petrie missed first game of the year thru suspension, Wells last game of the year due to surgery.

Probably fair Booney, but he finally delivered this year, he is the sort of guy who gets better with age IMO, very smart footballer.

Not even close. Kelly has been the standout player for Geelong this year.
Thompsons been a standout for the Crows but I could have been a standout for the Crows.
Kelly would have been one of the first Id have selected in the AA side this year.

Averaged 25 touches a game this year. Hardly screaming AA selection to me. What a crock.

Thompson has averaged more kicks, more handballs, more marks, more hard ball gets and kicked more goals than Kelly this year...yeah seems pretty clear cut

If you saw what he'd done with those 25 touches every game instead of guessing you'd be in no doubt.
Why not start a new comp for possession getters as that stat alone is irrelevent when it comes to selecting an AA side.

Boris is a gun. No doubt. Not an AA this year though. Poor call.

FWIW, this was the team I picked before last night...

B: Gibson, Glass, Davis
HB: Taylor, Reid, Enright
C: Pendlebury, Judd (c), Thomas
HF: Goodes, Cloke, Murphy
F:Milne, Franklin, Fyfe
R: Cox, Ablett, Mitchell
Int: Swan, Goldstein, Kelly, Boyd

Thompson and Dal Santo were the unlucky two.

From the actual team, I had:

In: Taylor, Goldstein, Fyfe, Gibson
Out: R. Murphy, Petrie, Dal Santo, Scarlett

Yeah show me tackles (which in theory should be much higher for a Crows player than Geelong player) as a display of workrate and show me Inside 50s as a % of total possesions so we can see what sort of % are cheap behind the play kicks that do stuff all.

Best contested mark in the comp is Jack Riewoldt by a long way IMO.
