Jaensch attacked in bar incident

Postby tigerland09 » Sun Sep 18, 2011 9:49 pm

ADELAIDE defender Matt Jaensch will require surgery to repair a broken jaw after being attacked at an Adelaide hotel on Saturday night.
The Crows issued a statement on Sunday, saying it was 'highly likely' Jaensch would purse charges over the matter.
The club is investigating the incident, which occurred at around 10pm on Saturday, and will make no further comment.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a breakout year in 2011, playing 13 games as a rebounding defender before having season-ending shoulder surgery in August.
The former rookie received an award for emerging talent at Adelaide's club champion awards presentation.
He should be fit to start pre-season training when the players return to West Lakes on November 7

Rowe suggested likewise on the sports show, might be wise to see what GWS might offer for him, Sheedy is supposed to be pretty good with players that are alleged to have some of these issues, if its correct weight the AFC need to deal with it accordingly.

I'm a big fan of Jaensch but the kid has got to learn some good life lessons, after being axed from the U18's side years back for drinking, then f^@king around with Vince in Melbourne after a game, he's had more lives than what he maybe deserves and should be very thankful that Adelaide has given him a chance and promoted him to the senior list. It seems everytime someone shows some faith in the kid he shits it up the wall. Very disappointed FWIW.

Why is everyone here jumping to conclusions? Shirtfront, stop making stuff up, anyone could post that given his past, but whether you actually have anything to back it up it another story.

From what I hear elsewhere, Jaensch is at no fault. Yeah he was drinking, it was his birthday and it's the off-season, but the club is satisfied with his version of events and that is that.
