Guy made the right choice with Johnny? The bloke is terrible! Can't beleve he passed the audition, let alone top 6 ahead of Josh Brookes, and now top 3  Reece, YMS, 3 wishez, Christina parie and Cleo are the ones for me likely to be final 5.
Brucetiki wrote:Guy has made some interesting choices with his top 3 for the under 25 guys.

He's made the right call with Johnny and Reece but I would have had Trent in instead of Declan.

Ronan's made the right call with the top 3 - especially with sending Up Front home (I don't think the show would have survived if they got through and won - would have been Altiyan all over again). I reckon Audio Vixen would be a good chance of winning.

5 of Mel B's top 6 could have made it to top 3. That would have been tough for Mel B and Mel C to get that down to 3, but I think they've done a good job picking the top 3 under 25 girls.

Natalie had a tough job picking the top 3 over 25's, as they all could have gone through and done well. It didn't matter who she picked she will have 3 strong contestants.

So all up, what looked like a quite mediocre audition process a strong top 12 has emerged. Declan's IMO is probably the weakest, but still has the potential to do quite well in the live shows. Going to be a great set of live shows the next few weeks.

Righteo - this is my opinion/who I like O:)

Declan - Absolutely love him - he's a cool dude..lol
Johnny - hmm - so/so - neither here nor there at the moment.
Reece - think he's good.
Christina - absolutely love her - she should only improve and improve and improve.
Jacqui - love her too.
Tyla - so/so - not really sure I like her much
Three wishes - pretty good.
Audio Vixen - LOVE them - I think they are great.
Young Men society - take em or leave em.
Andrew - think he'll be the first to go - probably shouldn't even be there.
Cleo - didn't like her performance tonight - she obviously can do better.
Mitchell - love him - didn't like his performance tonight.

Know you're not all going to agree with me - but just my thoughts O:)

I think Natalie has put in an absolute shocker with the over 25's. All 3 were very ordinary. Also, the way she handled the criticism by the other judges was disgraceful yelling and hooting over the top of them. She can bury her head in the sand and claim they were better than they really were but the public will determine otherwise.

Guy had mixed results with his under 25 guys. Reece was outstanding and made a perfect start to the live shows. Johnny was abysmal and one has to wonder why Guy put him through instead of Trent. Declan was the surprise packet. I expected him to struggle but he put in an entertaining performance.

Mel B was the same with the under 25 girls. Christina was closest anyone got to Reece tonight, while Jacqui was also very good. Tyla was very ordinary.

Ronan and the groups were the most consistent out of the categories tonight. All three were good without being great.

If this were Eurovision, here's how I'd cast my votes Eurovision style

12 votes: Reece
10 votes: Christina
8 votes: Declan
7 votes: Jacqui
6 votes: Young Men Society
5 votes: Audio Vixen
4 votes: Three Wishez
3 votes: Tyla
2 votes: Andrew
1 vote: Cleo

Which makes my bottom 2
Mitchell
Johnny

Agreed.

The under 25 girls have been awful tonight - what has Mel B been doing to them this week.

Pretty harsh on YMS there Bruce imo. IMO it is YMS, Reece and Christina to finish top 3 with Probably reece and christina top 2. YMS should get a record deal out of this anyway, they are the standout group, i love their energy on stage and would definately buy their music.

Not saying they were bad, but thought those above them did better on Tuesday night. They'll go deep into the competition.

Yeah fair play, and your taste is different to mine. I personally can't enjoy declan, but can understand why the judges think the way they do. Not sold on three wishez (the larger guy is too introverted for my liking) and im not sure how andrew will be marketable to the gen y's.

I was shocked at that as well - too many people assumed they would be safe perhaps. This is the benefit of the Sing For Your Lives segment though - if a good performer ends up bottom 2, the judges can save that act rather than it being purely public voting.

Bit more info on the incident that lead to Guy's feedback to Mitchell

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/entertain ... 6158854395

I don't get why everyone is carrying on about what Guy said. He is dead right - if Mitchell is going to carry on like a diva backstage (and go around slamming doors when he receives constructive criticism as we saw bits of on last nights show), he isn't going to last long in the industry. It's clear that Mitchell's behaviour was unacceptable, and Guy simply pointed it out in a cool, calm and professional manner.

IMO, it was Mel B who overreacted with the 'well if I knew you'd been rude to crew' remark while flapping her arms around.
