Sheesh BP - you must have had a hard week with Centrals not playing....the Nwd v Eagles match had only been finished for 10 minutes and you wanted to start talking about next week's game straight away! ;)

Well I didn't grt thr close hard game (Nwd V Eagles) that I wanted.

Norwood had a nice training run around some yellow witches hats and will have improved their confidence.

Will be interesting to see if Norwood try the same tactics against us as they used yesterday.

A bit of answer overkill but, FWIW, CD's League Finals progression into or through the Preliminary Final:-

1971 - Won 1st Semi (Sturt), lost Preliminary (Port): North Premiers.
1972 - Won 1st Semi (Norwood), lost Preliminary (Port): North Premiers.
1979 - Lost 2nd Semi (Port), lost Preliminary (South): Port Premiers.
1994 - Won 1st Semi (Norwood), lost Preliminary (Port): Port Premiers (def. Eagles).
1995 - Lost 2nd Semi (Port), won Preliminary (Norwood, as SK has already said), Lost Grand Final (Port).
1997 - Lost Qualifying (Port), won 1st Semi (North), lost Preliminary (Norwood): Norwood Premiers (def. Port).

I think that's all of them.

Went very close in 1997 Preliminary also, I missed first bit of the last quarter, indisposed feeling crook with what I thought was about to transpire ...... hate football, or love it way way too much.

Yeah, I know what you mean. :)

Centrals had managed to beat Norwood in a close one in the minor round, and the one-sidedness of the Grand Final hammered in the frustration of what was possible, even though we'd lost to Port in the QF.

Still, a fitting premiership given Norwood's dominance in the minor round that year - three losses and almost 2:1 scoring ratio.
