THAT WAS A CRACKER final. Well done WCE. To come from last to finish in the top 4 is a sensational effort. For us to push them in Perth, to 3pts is a great effort, well done to our mob.

Tonights game was fantastic but realistically anyone outside top 5 was making up the numbers

So Jim (I know I've taken the mickey out of you on the other thread, but time to be serious for a second) do you reckon it should only be top 5?

I've been mentioning it to mates that the rest (6th to 8th specifically) just make up the numbers.

Great game tonight, much better than last night.
Going to be weird being at the G for a Prelim against West Coast, last time I was there for a final against West Coast was the 94 GF.
Hopefully a different result this year!

Maybe a Top 6
7th and 8th dont deserve to make finals especially when sides win less than half their matches to make finals

Most Carlton fans are going to blame the umpires, who did suck (on both sides), however, if Murphy slotted those two simple shots in the first half we very well maybe looking at a different winner. Murphy can not be labelled better than Judd because Juddy would have slotted those goals. Speaking of Judd, he was very poor tonight, Carlton simply don't help him out enough or he is playing injured.

They won't go top 6. Although might make it more even and exciting finals. 18 teams. Not gonna have 12 teams miss

Very harsh on Selwood, that was a phenominal tag tonight

our set shot goalkicking has been ordinary all year. Maybe we should recruit Fev as our goalkicking coach? As soon as Simpson, O'hAilpin, Robinson, Gibbs or Murphy have a set shot I cringe. HAND IT OFF! Hehehehe, all good. We've had worse years.

Valleys..... seriously, come on......Judd gets the hardest tag of all each and every week. To say he's "poor" is just ridiculous.

Has Judd played his worst 2 games for the season in the 2 finals games?

Gadj, not at all saying judd is poor. Im saying that judd breaks tags time and time again and tonight selwood got the better of him. My point being that i do think that carlton offer judd a lot of protection, just tonight selwood was relentless.

You said he was "poor tonight". What you should've done was pay credit to Selwood and his counterparts. Against the good sides, the hard tag will work. And Carlton cope with it by letting the tag stick and then having Murphy and Simpson run around unguarded. They weren't as good as they might've been normally, and I think that's the difference.
