There is also concern regarding whether Harris' hamstring trouble - he left the field for assessment during the last day before returning shortly before the final rain delay - is serious enough to put him in doubt. Peter Siddle and James Pattinson are in the squad as the backup fast men.

Took a couple of 6 fa's in the Ashes remember?
I love him, shows real passion and steams in from ball one right until the last ball. Would rather him then bloody Johnson

Hussey is not that good a bowler is he?
His part time stuff has been very rare in the past (was this his 3rd and 4th Test wickets?)
That pitch must have been playing a lot worse than it looked on telly.

The Lankans would've spent countless hours studying all the frontline bowlers but not even considered Hussey, good to see Pup think outside the square. Hussey just bowls on the spot and waits for the batsman to become complacent.

He's probably bowled since but the last time I remember M. Hussey bowling in a Test was in 2008 in India (Ponting was highly criticised at the time too from memory).

Siddle's Ashes:

6/54
0/90
0/121
1/25
0/8
6/75
1/111

Two good innings, otherwise woeful. Can't rely on hattricks and your home deck to save you. He's mediocre, and until he learns to PITCH IT UP he won't be getting into the test side any time soon.

Hard to take wickets when you have a spastic like Johnson unable to bowl in a partnership with you!

LMAO. Siddle can't get wickets because of one of the other guys is bowling carp. Yeah I understand the bowling in partnerships concept but did Siddle only bowl when Johnson came into the attack? Spurrious and contentious position there CK!

Look at Siddles hatrick and compare it to how he bowled the rest of the series.....there is one main thing thats different.

Yeah I know mate but really I love the fact siddle has heart, always giving 100% and then you get Johnson who is blaming his mum for his form drop, and literally bowls half his balls of the pitch. Siddles batting also has heart, he rarely gives his wicket away unlike Johnson who has two-three good innings in his career!
People that get stuck into him, I don't understand. He bowls bloody well when he bowls full (and it's a when, as he has the deep point and two back on the hook, with no mid on) I understand why he bowls short.
