Example The Bays and South game: what advantage is there for Glenelg in terms of Finals Experience? Surely it's just another game and wouldn't be any different if it was Rnd 23.
I can understand if it was the GF with a big crowd and GF nerves etc but where do Glenelg get an advantage after going out in straight sets for the last two years?
Not stirring, just an honest question
Going out in straight sets doesn't enter into it. Glenelg has played at Footy Park in September for a few years now. The players know what to expect and will not be unsettled. OTOH the experience will be a complete novelty for the Panthers. This
has to stand Glenelg in better stead.
However I think the factor of finals experience also extends to the coaching box. While Massie has some success coaching juniors, his experience is still dwarfed by Ronny's. This
has to stand the Panthers in better stead.
All things considered I think this game is a 50/50 proposition. Get your money on the Panthers while they're paying more than $2.
