Its easy for u to say mate. I worked with people who got covered in human remains as they escaped. They will never move on.

Obviously i mean "us" meaning those people not affected directly. I dont think youd ever get over that sort of thing.

Fair play then.

We may never know. I watched the recent SBS documentary on the salvage of the Soviet Submarine K129 under the CIA name Project Azorian and the CIA pulled some serious wool over the eyes of the American people and even the rest of the world.

Im still undecided on what to think about it. If you watch Michael Moores doco it makes it hard not to look past that America had something to do with it. I recommend you watch it, I'm sure its called some like 9/11 maybe write Michael Moore next to it.

Watched the documentry on channel 9 last nite and was spine tingling stuff. The story started 9 months before 9/11 with 2 french doco journalists following a rookie fire fighter and his story of becoming a fireman. Then 9/11 hit whilst they were filming at fire station he was based.......the camera man followed the firies into tower 1 and you could hear people landing on the foyer roof as they were jumping from up above.....sickening!! Some also unbelievable footage when the towers start collapsing.....

Don't dismiss Moore so easily just because he is a fat 'liberal'. Plenty of funky things happened immediately after 9/11 and someone has to ask questions that he asked because the price of freedom is eternal vigalance.

After 9/11 we had George W Bush ground every plane in the US let he let his financial backers, the Saudis all fly home (and this included IIRC relatives of Osama Bin Laden). Then when he went out for revenge he pulled out this 'weapons of mass destruction' and 'axis of evil' shit and went and invaded Iraq who had **** all to do with 9/11.

In the meantime, Bush brings in the Patriot Act which represents a systematic dismantling of Civil rights in America. Yeah that Micheal Moore is a real monster.

9/11 was the day the terrorists won.

He had his daddy's mates do all that for him. Watch the footage of when he gets told of the 9/11 attacks 'oh shit, this wasn't part of the job description! Rummy HELP!'...and off to Texas he went while Guilliani was showing the world what real leadership was.

GW's reaction and comment, when asked why he didn't leave the school when first told of the attacks - "I did not want to alarm the children".

FFS, the country is being attacked, 100+ million hicks are pointing at the picture box in the corner watching CNN deliver the images and GW was more concerned with a dozen or so children?

Dont get me wrong, at the time he did what he thought was right. But, he is as dumb as the waste a dog produces.

I was up most of the night 10 years ago watching the coverage ... it was the most abhorrent and surreal feeling ever.

Was interesting watching a documentary about a prevented event in 2006 originating from England and Pakistan.
The aim was to use improvised liquid explosives (basically hydrogen peroxide and Tang!) and bring down 4 or 5 planes after take off, over the ocean and on their way to North America.

The group was monitored for some time before the Americans (who received all the intelligence from the Brits) got impatient and went directly to their Pakistani counterparts, effectively forcing the hand of the British. Fortunately the plot was foiled and a group of 12 were eventually tried and convicted (the Brits were cautious about arresting too soon).

The point is that the extremist groups will try and try again to achieve their goals and aren't afraid to kill themseves doing it.
The documentary noted that once arrested, the suspects simply 'closed down' and 'accepted' they were gone.

I don't think the terrorists have 'won' overall, but it would be difficult not to concede they've at least had a minor wins that leave ongoing impressions.
