You and your useless side kick should just go away or try and coach somewhere else.

Real tough words there mongral, why have you waited all year to say that? Weak as p!ss. While I don't agree with everything that NoMercy says, at least he has the balls to give his opinion.

Hey Mongrel ... you must be feeling confident now with a medallion around your neck!!!! Pity no one heard from you earlier in the year ... arrogance must be in the air on Hartley Road ... humility must not be in the reds make up!!!

Bit of an anti climax to be honest, went there expecting a very tight game of footy but flinders just blew portland out of the game with their run and carry of the footy, they made portland look very slow and ineffective especially going into their forward line. Ohara was very clever in the ruck allowing perkins to jump early and then giving flinders midfielders first use of the ball. Whenever bird got the ball he was set upon by 2 or 3 flinders players and hit very hard which looked like a tactic that worked very successfully as bird had lttle impact on the game. Thought Prior was fantastic all day and kept Portland in the game probably longer than Portland deserved to be with the amount of ball flinders had. Christie did a number on Portlands big guy and I thought when he went off and they put a more nimble forward in the square Portland looked a lot better, maybe this move should have been made earlier. Overall Flinders looked better prepared and with a stronger game plan which they executed very well in a high pressure game. Just wonder about Portland going in to Div 2 next year and the confidence they will take forward after being beaten on the weekend. Flinders seem in a much better place with exceptional depth, would think Portland need to pick up 8 to 10 players to consolidate their spot in Div 2, certainly need some more on ballers and some key targets up forward to compliment what they already got. Anyway good luck and well done to Flinders Park.

Well well Lion i thought you would pipe up too!! Did you counts the points on the field saturday!!! I think it was Portland 15 points and Flinders 10. We have copped a bagging on this site all year and maybe people are sick of blokes hiding behind a internet name and saying rubbish. Alot of stuff gets said on here and not all of it is a reflection of a club. Otherwise we would all be classed as arrogant. We worked very hard this year in all grades and the blokes deserved what we got. Do the same and you will be fine!!

Just on the b grade game, thought SMOSH's discipline or lack of it cost them dearly, 25m penalties are costly especially in grand finals and even more critical when they result in goals.

Just thought id say a quick congratulations to Flinders Park, 4 flags in 4 grades is a remarkable achieve, ent, I hope they enjoy there celebrations, they have clearly earnt it..
Onto the game on Saturday, as a 'neutral' viewer, having played at both clubs, I was pretty disappointed in the game as a spectacle. Flinders Park were tough at the footy from the first bounce, and it was a complete reversal of what everyone had exected. I think Portland thought they had done enough to just show up and win, or they under-estimated Flinders' hardnes at the footy, but Flinders were certainly the tougher team and wanted the ball more, and hunted the ball, and man, in droves.
O'Hara was outstanding, simply outstanding. Dominated the rucks, Perkins and Vessali had no answer to his tap work. It either went to Flinders advantage, or into open space all day, and that was the catalyst for the win. O'Donnell was very good, especially early. He set the tone with some hard attacks on the ball and man early, and seemed to lift the side with him. Kings run off the wing all day was another highlight. Collins up forward was a good target, had he kicked straight he wouldve kicked a big bag. Reno Hansens run and use off half back was another highlight, on a day where the ball was turned over alot, he used it superbly and set up alot of Flinders forwards forays from half back.
Portland only had one real winner in my opinion, Cocciaro. The blokes a freak. His ability to read the play is a step above anyone else going around, ive seen him a few times in the past couple of years and he has never been beaten. He is a star. Lippo had a good third qtr where he kicked 3 goals in a row to bring the margin back to 21 i think, and Portland a sniff, but it was to no avail.
I try not to bash umpires on here, although people that know me will suggest im far to vocal towards them on field, but the game was so over umpired it was ludicrous. They missed obvious free kicks, then payed frees that had all and sundry scratching there heads in disbelief. They need to let the play go a bit more and just pay the obvious free kicks, especially in a hard fought GF.
Congratulations again to FPFC, and bad luck Portland, look to maintain and build on your current list and give div 2 an amighty crack, im sure you'll all be looking forward to the Districts showdown

You would think the umpiring would have got better by now not worse, no sign of improvement from last year is an absolute disgrace from the Leagues point of view, these points above have been the issues raised over the last 2 YEARS, what are the umpire observers in place for?
I know the League read this forum, i say to you now that head honcho is gone, take note the Powers to be & work on improving our game from an umpirings perspective, you may find umpires won't cop a pasting week in week out, you may also find because of it you might have alot more umpires sign up.

First off congratulations to Flinders Park. They were the better team on the day and also to win 4 from 4 is a huge achievement. I know in past seasons we have seen clubs in similar positions only come away with 1 or 2 flags but to get all 4 is a great effort.
Onto the game, think people have sumed it up pretty well, Flinders came out with a new found aggresion and there attack on the ball and player was good, Ohara dominated in the ruck and gave there runners first use of the ball all day. Agree Coch and Prior were best for us.
Not sure where we came un raveled, was very disapointing to have our biggest loss on the most important day of the season.
Like other people have said, umpires were no good both ways but the result wasnt effected by there bad calls.
Will say one thing though, calls to family members in the early hours of sunday morning was disapointing, both to Portland people and also some Smosh people from reports. Surely after winning 4 flags you would be to busy to pick up the phone and ring blokes mum's.

Good luck to everyone over the summer months and hopefully we can consolidate and stick around in div 2. As a group the boys know that they will need to work twice as hard this summer if they want to be competative.

Well that is concerning fist. I would not have thought our lads would do something like that. When i left i wouldn't have thought they would be capable of using a phone. We all know a few of the opposition lads but to call them is average at best. Even though i wasn't involved i am sorry to hear that and i hope when they woke up Sunday they realised they were c$ckheads.

I just wouldn't bother calling as you said there were better things to be doing!!!
I know a few were fired up due to a few Portland lads banging on the changeroom door after the 2nd semi loss and a bit of a run through before the GF started but that's footy.
I don't want people thinking bad things of our club as we have worked hard to get results and to also be a respected and strong club on and off the field.
