Daniel Stewart was also in the same boat from what i heard, honestly dont know how true it is so dont take it for anything more than a rumour at this stage. Port Power leave for Bali tomorrow so i guess if you get a chance to see the legs train Monday night your answer will or will not be there.

Port can not afford a trip to Bali ...... unless the SANFL or AFL give them yet more money.
Any truth in the rumour they are changing their name from Port Power to Port Parasites ?

Norwood's best will certainly be good enough to win but anything less than our best and we will be playing South again the week after.

A lot of people would agree at the moment, Norwood's form recently has been a bit ordinary, gonna be a stunning form reversal for them to get up.

I'd be very surprised if Jericho came straight back in, but being a forward line player he's the sort who could get away with it more readily than others.

I'm not convinced Norwood are going so badly at the moment. No doubt they suffered a big blow getting wiped out by the dogs a couple weeks ago, but I always feel the team that was better over the whole year wins the big games at the end of the year. By that logic, I think Norwood will find a way to get up. I think Norwood's defense is better than the Eagles' defense and will prove the difference. Parry is probably the guy most likely to tip the scales in the favour of WWT. If he gets it to Cica, Lewis and Jarrad first more often than not the Eagles could be very dangerous.

I suppose the last few weeks would give an air of pessimism for Norwood fans, however, look at what happened in Round 23 and then the Elimination Final last year? Finals (and even just week to week during the season) can be completely different.

sib wrote:Lots of changes for the legs this week. Some good ins as well. Zorzi, Shenton, Doyle, Brown, Bode, Jonas, Jericho all to come in. Could give us a side something like this. Very different to the one that played yesterday.

F Shenton Bown Jericho
HF Davis Rowe Eagleton
C Pfeiffer Zorzi Gallagher
HB Jonas McGuiness Hughes
FB Young Georgiou Brown
R Doyle Campbell Suckling
Bench Dawe Bode Webber

Ins Doyle, Shenton, Jonas, Zori, Brown, Jericho, Bode
Outs Gazolla, Jefferies, Forster, Iallegio, Terlich, Grigg, Fuller

Not as many changes for the Eagles this week. But three big ins if all fit
1 Parry
2 Grocke
3 Petrenko

The last two weeks Eagles have won with out Grocke .No tall forward dominated against Port that will change this week against Norwood!

But that may be Glenelg? It is the finals now after all.

Great that everyone is writing Norwood off, reckon the coach may have a thing or two up his sleeve. Godden will probably just get his team to run down the clock a minute into the second half again. :D

MMM From last nights players presentation against Port sounds like last years final against Norwood has been a bit of a nightmare .Expect a far different FIT Eagles team on Sunday !!

Well, if the weather forecast stays true for next Sunday, you might as well say Central are already into the Grand Final.

Really looking forward to this game already. Three good inclusions to come in for the Eags this week. Also expect a far better Norwood side than their last two weeks indicate. I've got no doubt they will come out a far better unit for the first week of the finals.

Eags were pretty rusty for large parts of yesterday's game but thankfully got over the line in the end. Looking for a much stronger start next Sunday.

31C on Sunday so will test the fitness of all concerned.

Bring on the finals :)

Stewart was going to make himself available for the finals if we made it despite the trip being booked months ago.
