From what i have been told there is a couple of guys who only played 3 or 4 div 7 games, the rest were in Div1R.

What bloke you talking about?

Let me just ay I have no problems with the rules these guys deserve to play a game.

Joe McCallum played some ones early in the season.

Exactly, and got dropped to the b's and then got dropped to the c's. It happens when there is strong depth at a club. Bordering on ridiculous this topic!

Lads, all teams were picked on merit lets just stop the presumptions. B grade picked a 22 that will play next week (depends obviously if a grade win and injuries), then the rest were picked in lower grades. Results in no player missing out on a GF unless not picked for E grade.

You keep telling yourself that! I would hate to be the bloke that misses out on a GF right down the bottom while some guys will play in 2! Why cant you just come out and say, yep we want to win every GF we play in and we will drop players down to do this, you can pick whatever side you want for your Div1 R side still wont change the players who will play in your Div7 side. If what the others are saying here are true that you have a guy that was good enough to get 6 games in div 1 playing in div 7 tomorrow it is exactly my point all along, the rule is dumb and although SHOC are using it within them I dont think it is what the rule was made for. Maybe SHOC will do a bit better against FP than I thought.

So true Tex i see a guy that was playing div 7 most of the year and another 3 to 4 that were in the div7r 2 semi team are all playing E grade tomorrow,i think its the same team you guys played with 4 in's,stacking their side may just fire up parks some more so still think parks will win but now by only 17 points. Will be keen to see if any shoc boys do get to play in 2 gfs

Oh well in the end it may count for nothing, FP have been the best all year and deserve to win, IMO it is theirs to lose anyway.

SAAFL Div C6 (2011)

For the record lads we haven't stacked any of our sides. We picked the best 22 in each of the first 4 grades (yes the first 4 - the B grade team has been picked) and then the E grade is filled with the rest. So stop with the stories as you clearly have no idea

Regardless if you think you have or you havnt its going to be 25 vs 25 tomorrow and the better team on the day is going to win.Lets hope the umps let the game go and the games not recked by over umpiring or 1 team being favoured.if it does rain tomorrow with ds and div7r played before a grade hope the oval doesnt turn into a boghole

I don't think you can play in 2 GF's. I think the rules state a player can't play two games in the final series in the same round and the GF round is spread over two weeks. So if they do play any div 1R players in lower grades they can't play next week. I think that is how it works so the Div 1 teams can't do exactly this!!!
I'm not saying they have done this but this is how i see the rules, i could be wrong!

I think that might be wrong mate as they have named at least three to play div 7 2m that played nearly 80% in there div 1r team

If those 3 to 4 guys got dropped legit then fair enough but if they go back up next week to play div 1r then thats a joke so i quess we can all say what we want but only time will tell, everyone from shoc says they havnt dropped guys and eveyone outside of shoc doesnt beleave them coz team sheets dont lie

Yeah very good side and deserved the flag in the end! SHOC and FP may have too many cups floating around in their clubrooms this season for my liking!

Hurts to see that photo but I know at the end of the day the best team won the competition, Flinders Park I think are too good to not be playing Div 7 and 7R

Agree they would deffinately be good enough but I think that thier A and B grade should at least be playing in Div 2 before you put your C and D grade in Div 7. Also they have had enough players to field 50 players in their C and D grade this season, you have 8 players miss out in Div 7/7R.

Well done Parks 1st on winning 4 out of 4 flags that is unheard of,its hard enough to win 1 flag a year.Watch parks ds get up over shoc in a great game of footy.Shoc looked to have flinders measure for alot of the game and parks skills were the worst id seen them all year and couldnt kick a goal,Shoc played 2 to 3 behind the ball and bloked up flinders forward line well.Parks were 2 points up at 3qrt time with shoc coming home with a 3 to 4 goal breeze.Season over in 20 mins lets see who wants this the most but like agains gg flinders kicked 3;4 to 0;1 to get up by about 20 points this side has some character and is defaintly the best d grade side ive every seen, played the worst 3 qrts of the year and still won the gf playing 1 good qrt.Well done boys you deserve it good way to send off some of your older guys who ive heard are hanging up the boots and i think it was the coachs 1st as coach :D

Cheers for that Tex, was a good win and a very tough game. They held us well but we didn't play our usual style of game. Best of luck to you and the lads for whatever you do next year.

Have a look at the B grade team sheet today and if you can count to 22 you will see there are 22 players that didnt play in a GF last week. Some good stacking....

I stand corrected then. When we played them in the prlim there was deffinately a few guys dropped back, these guys went back up the week later but I think some were dropped back and the guys that came down played good enough to go up if it was for form. Move on now, season over and the best team won in the end, ahhh summer time soon!
