Love that Copeland is getting a go and he has definatly had a good start to it BUT now getting a better look at him do people think he has the weapons to be a decent test bowler on pitches that arent bowler friendly (99% of test pitches). At his 125km's his going to have to be extremly accurate throughout his career to make a go of it imho.

Also pitches like the ones we have seen this series show the impact of T20 on international cricket. Apart from the old stager Hussey not many had the ability to build an innings and be patient to the point the run rate become unimportant to their innings. Love seeing pitches like the first test wicket.

I really hope he makes a big one here. I am not convinced on him yet either, but it seems the selectors have ear marked him as our opener for the next few years, so I would love to see him consolidate his position and get that average up over 45 where a test opener should be.

He has (and that is a big HAS) the ability to possibly be a slightly slower version of McGrath. If he can bowl like he is currently on pitches that the (sub continent) doctor not to be pace tracks then he should do ok everywhere else? All you need is little subtle swing and movement off the seam if you bowl tight and accurately as McGrath did. Yo dont need everyone trying to bowl at Thommo like pace. Time will tell?

I have the same concerns regarding Copeland hammers but so far so good for the lad. Hope he continues and goes on with it.

how this bloke is playing before katich still has me baffled!!!

The Kat was a convenient 'older player' scapegoat for the Ashes debacle. Also, didn't he throw Pup up against the wall during a Sydney test a few years back? Not a great career move now that Pup is skipper.

Pup doesn't cry any more when he cuts onions, I think that's what is most important. Thanks Twitter.

given a choice of singing a song in a dressing room full of sweaty blokes or one-on-one date with the Bingle babe I guess I'd be going for the latter

IIRC team rules state that all players must remain in the dressing rooms until the song is sung. When said song is sung at the choosing of the song leader who ever that is these days.

Pup wanted to get it over with so he could leave but he crossed a line by trying to hurry up the process. The Kat took offense to that allegedly.....

Aus 1/60

Watson bowled shouldering arms and not playing a shot.

Tony Greig- 'without seeing the replay i think that one was to close to leave'

UMMMMM judging by the fact his off stump did half a dozen cartwheels i think it may have been to close to leave
