Victorian TAB (the only one that allowed it last year) have not allowed team leader multi betting this year. Seems like the gig might be up.

Still a chance at value with the trifectas I reckon and maybe group betting (if that is released).

From Sportbet today ..... Our traders have informed us that any adjustments to what we are currently offering, markets or rules, will be made a week prior to the night.

Stay tuned!

Potentially a very clever move by Sportsbet IMO.

If they allow multies, and other agencies don't I believe they will get a number of return business as a result. By leaving until one week to go, it also allows the market to adjust to any 'incorrect' odds originally offered as to lower their exposure.

that is what sportsbet.com.au did last year - they didnt offer multis until late in teh piece when most of the value had already been sucked out of the markets

There is little value in the team markets this year in my opinion. A better market would be a quinella, trifecta market.

Simon Black looks way too short here. While he did not poll a vote last year in his debut season, Jack Redden has had a fantastic year at Brisbane and if that is recognised by the umpires, then I reckon he could poll double figure votes. By my reckoning, I can't see Black on any more than 11, making "Players Not Quoted" very good value, potentially.

Having a look they might poll in the same amount of games but Black has been the standout in a couple of them. Might be overs at $21 tho

Out of interest, does anyone here follow the VFL closely? The market for the Liston looks relatively open

"Players not quoted" now $15.

I give Redden chances of scoring votes in rounds:

1 - 2 pt loss to Freo. 20 disposals, 13 tackles
5 - 13 pt loss to St Kilda: 27 disposals, 12 tackles, 2 goals
9 - 14 win over Nth Melb: only 19 disposals, but 13 tackles, 3 frees for
13 - 31 pt loss to Richmond, Bris overrun in last term: 25 disp, 7 tackles, 2 goals
15 - 11 pt win over Pt Adel: 21 disposals, 13 tackles, 3 frees
21 - 62 pt win over Gold Coast: 27 disp, 6 tackles
23 - 8 pt loss to West Coast: 24 disp, 8 tackles, 1 goal

Despite good numbers, I don't think he will poll in:

Rnd 3 - 11 pt loss to Melb (24 disp, 7 tackles, 1 goal)
Rnd 6 - 26 pt loss to Rich (28 disp, 8 tackles, 1 goal)
Rnd 10 - 40 pt win over Adel (23 disp, 7 tackles - I think Black WILL poll here, though)
Rnd 14 - 23 pt loss to Freo (30 disp, 1 goal, BUT he was good all night, could be a chance)
Rnd 16 - 42 pt loss to Haw (32 disp, 7 tackles, 2 goals -BUT Bris were only really overrun in the last term, this one is a chance)
Rnd 17 - 29 pt loss to Geel, after Bris led for much of the first 3 quarters (24 disp, 7 tackles - stronger claims for Rockliff and Leuenberger here for Brisbane)
Rnd 20 - 5 pt loss to Adel: Bris led for most of the day here, Scott Thompson to get the three votes though: (23 disp, 7 tackles)
