Ditto "ORDoubleBlues"!!!! Every time I visit this part of the site I keep hoping for uninterupted footy stuff. S'pose I will be called names for not understanding why non-footy contributors can't just ring each other, or email with personal stuff which doesn't interest the rest of us. And hell, I've been around footy clubs long enough to tolerate the worst, but can we keep it clean here at least? Otherwise, we will all lose our credibility, starting with the recognizable contributors.

I won't call you names this time Crumber. I'm not angry, just disappointed.

It's funny how 3 people now have piped up abusing us for having a bit of friendly banter, however NONE of you have offered anything related to footy for us to discuss.

And for the record, I've got an awesome job.

Post edited.

Crumber your last 2 posts have been criticism of the lack of footy talk on this thread, yet you've added nothing to the fray.

Hence my response.

If you're going to criticise us for non footy talk, at least add something footy related for us to discuss. Otherwise it's play on....

I'm with DA on this one.
Cricket Fan - what a docile, uneducated comment.
Instead of being jealous, post something about your club.
I personally have invited info from any club, to be used as a talking point.
How many of your 24 posts have been informative???

ORDoubleBlues wrote:For the few Country division followers on here, I did see the first half of the trial between Meadows and Mitcham (who I think are in A4) on Saturday. Meadows certainly looked pretty good and have plenty of big solid bodies in Morrisey, Dawe, Shorland, Tahu Lanyon, Dan Abraham, etc. I know they were missing Williamson amongst others but I think they'll be certainties to finish in the top 2 at the end of the minor round.
Once again there juniors seem to be up there as well so we may be due for a fair bit more Meadows success in the future.

Am a Country Div follower ORD. Glad to hear Dan Abraham's name mentioned successfully. I saw Milang play a few games a coupla years back and there was always speculation as to which players would succeed when up in Class. There were several players who really stood out, Dan amongst them, but no-one could really guage their effectivity at the time. Another player was John McMurtrie, the gutsiest jockey I have ever seen in HFL. Hope he is in there somewhere; country div would be lost without him. To the credit of all Milang players, I know there were not much $, if any, around at the time. Hope these guys continue to step up and enjoy their footy. PS. Adam Kidd was another.

Anyone know why/how Meadows got that handful of players from other clubs? eg Tarque, Morro, Hansie...

Sorry DA if you seem to be the scapegoat. It's just that the co-ordinators of this site have still not corrected the mess of whom said who. I am just here for the footy comments and every single comment I have made has reflected just that. Please do not not accuse me of unrelated crap. Otherwise we will all lose what could potentially be a great forum once the season starts in earnest.

Ooooh, not sure. I played footy with him at Lofty, but he had come up from Marion I think.
Just thought it was unusual to see an influx from clubs in close leagues like that, in the one year. Sounds like they could be OK.

macca looked more like he was doing an impression of the 'tawny frog mouth' than belting out a tune... evans, miles, and silky all look like they are battling a bit after a big night.... and just a tip crumer its 'efficency' not 'effectivity', moron. DA surely there are a few spoons in with those prem. cups in coco's red and white bags but your getting on board the use of 'shamese' i like it.
cant be bothered quoting, u all know which previous posts im talking about hopefully.

cricket you are an idiot if you think coco would be paying da he pays them to be part of the club .ronnie taques was at marion when i first met him and then came to ironbank dont know if he played for lofty but morry certianally did then to ib after .to be honest (i dont mind both blokes ) but the club seems to be better with out these guys eg. everyone is on the same page and not chasing personal glory which last time i checked was the key to being sucessfull in team sport . :!: :!: p.s has monty learnt to kick or did he kick thoughs 30 goals from the goal square :?: :?:

Fire up everyone. Touchy, touchy........

With new recruits, people leaving, etc., what are people's top 5 predictions?
Haven't heard much about Uris and Onkas but guessing they;ll be in there. I'll go out on a limb and say IB might make an appearance at 5th. Blackwood perhaps to make up the numbers as well. And Lofty of course finally.
