I've heard that the Montgomerys and possibly another of Mallala's good cricketers are leaving Mallala because they dont want to be playing in the A4s.

Wasn't their position that they would loose too many cricketers if they played in a higher grade?

These two + M Birchmore would be the only 3 players to be at A grade standard for Mallala if they played and they all want to play at a higher level of cricket I'd say. By playing D4 yes they will loose these guys but the rest of their club can enjoy there cricket at a standard more suited to the majority. I'm sure if one day Mallala rise through the grades that these guys could return, but I think D3 or D4 is about right for teams leaving the Lower Gilbert comp.

The montgomery twins are a definite at freeling along with myself. Should be a good stronger team this season. They were already leaving before the club folding from their league and joining another.

A bit of bad form here the twins are not that vein. One is in a situation that he can't play every week because of work and with the club being in the prospect of folding they had to decide where they wanted to play. It didn't matter that the club decided to move to another league they had already left.

Lets see what the future holds maybe he might end up at gawler central. Phantom there isn't anything to run away from I was never playing against him
