Thought they may have learnt from Mount Lofty a few years back. It's one thing the HFL does check up on. We now have 4 sides in the GF, possibly 5 if the 15's get up this week. Not to mention the C grade. So ATS, yes perhaps you should just keep things to yourself from now on. It's unfortunate that the playing of illegal players ruins a good finals series in hills central in all grades!!
What happens in the B grade time slot on saturday now? Do mt barker and uraidla play off again to play blackwood or is there no game? Surely they get another crack at each other...

Nah we wont get kicked out the finals series, just blackwood awarded the match. We will play Uraidla if all this is true.

Im sick to the stomach. Surely it s just a bad dream...

yeah, you can't get away with it anymore.............we have learnt the hard way.

What do you mean there is a meeting on it AF? I just checked at all the players that were named on the Sporting Pulse site, all of them are fine, but one. This player that is still a senior colt this season where he played 16 games, but he has also played 9 A-Grade games this year aswell and his first B-Grade game was on Saturday against Blackwood.

As I understand it, although he is a senior colt, he has played 9 A-Grade games and no B-Grade games. So therefore he wouldn't qualify to 'go-up' as a senior-colt because of his A-Grade games. Correct me if im wrong.....

Why waste your time with a meeting if you have broken the rules. Everyone knows that on a given Saturday the highest grade you play is the one that counts, whether you are 15 or 50! Get over it an move on.

The player in question has not played 9 A Grade games this year, for memory it was 2 or 3. 16 Senior colts games plus 9 A grade = 25 games??

Doesn't matter. You have to play more in B Grade than A Grade. He obviously hasn't and so needs a permit and apparently, from what has been said on this forum, didn't get it. In other words rules haven't been followed and there can only be one result. The team loses!

got no idea what's happened ... but even if he did play 16 senior colts games he could still have played 9 A grade games!

he ain't the first lad to play senior colts then follow up with play either A's or B's!

so what's actually happened?? which team ?? and what's the likely outcome??

got to feel for the Ironbank players and coach who were great on Saturday and were ecstatic to be the first Ironbank senior side to make a div 1 grand final..........but what is going on with the management there to allow this to happen. Asleep at the wheel.

Hmm this is interesting as in the APFL im pretty sure if your eligable to play senior colts and you have quailified to play senior colts you can play A or B grade no matter how many games you have played of A's or B's

This has more similarities to what happened to Blackwood a few years ago than the Mt Lofty debarcle.

The mistake that was made by Ironbank in 2001 was not made again in this instance and the club was not asleep at the wheel as has been suggested. We actually inquired to whether a permit was needed or not and were advised a permit was not nessesary.

Turns out we inquired to the wrong people. Apparently the people at the top aren't actually the people in charge sometimes and sometimes people just plain forget about conversations they did or did not have.

If you can't read between the lines here, you obviously haven't been involved in Hills footy for very long.

how hard is it for the league to come up with a CLEAR set of guidelines???same type of misunderstanding probably happened 5 times during the year to certain teams and went through to the keeper,

while i can sense your frustration, the by-laws regarding finals qualifications clearly state that a permit is required from the hfl permit committee. if you decide to go to an individual to get permission the club has no-one to blame.

Don't worry Tim, we are moving on, hence the limited discussion on here regarding it. I was merely stating what had actually occured to put out a few rumours that I had heard floating around.

Bring on Uraidla this Saturday!
