Easily one of the worst comments I've seen on this forum in four odd years. I've played A grade in both the SFL and div 7. Hack ham and Marion would easily make the finals and be strong contenders for the flag in div 7. That is with each side only winning one game each this year in the SFL.

Your kidding yourself! Hackham lost a game by 300 points this year and Marion didn't kick a goal 2 weeks in a row! Any side in the top 5 of div 7 would do better then that! Hackham and Marion wouldn't beat any of the sides in the top 5 of div 7.

And collingwood would beat em by 500 points, but that has nothing to do with the price of eggs. There are sides that do not play finals in southern league where every player is paid. Hack ham would pay atlefast half a dozen players, if not more.. This is luxury most div 7 clubs would not have. I can guarantee no one from athlestone, shocs, mod bury or ttgo or flinders are on coin.

I have played at that level in both leagues, have you?
actually played in both grades, so consider myself a better judge than those whonhaven't.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Not so sure about that one too EV. Mawson Lakes accounted for Hackham comfortably in a trial last year, but we ended up only 6th. To say that Hackham and Marion would 'easily' make the finals in Div 7 would be an overstatement IMO.

Well ml did win the first 8 games of the season that year then lost 9 out of the next ten. There was obviously something other than talent in the equation that year that has been overcome this year.

Lost only 8 games for the year EV and that wasn't good enough to make the 5. Our Injury Toll and Depth this season has been in complete contrast to last EV, and that's why we're in the position we are in now.

Whilst I agree that some of the Bottom 8 sides in the SFL would walk into the Top 5 of Div 7, I think you're off the mark pencilling them all in as certainties. I have a mate at Marion and they are in a dire predicament at the moment.

Put it this way, I'd take dion hibberd from hack ham as full toward for any div 7 team. He has previously led the SFL and saafl division 1 in goal kicking. Better than mcdonnel, novesel and all the other hamburglarfull forwards in div7 & 7r.

 That guy COULD play, but nothing more than an old hack now taking an easy pay cheque each week at Hackham 8)

He was still competitive in div 5 last year. Still would easily be a better FF. And FF's tend to age better than most

Rumor has is, quite a few players from PH are heading up the road with Knowles. If so, I expect Ingle Farm to be a force in Div 7 next year!!

SHOC's depth is most powerful in the SAAFL. They'll have another crack at the Mawson Lakes Masters in 2 weeks. As for the 'Flex heads' they are no chance against SHOC.

there'd be some other clubs who could argue with that statement...

You're not even close Finn. SHOC have 4 out of 5 sides in Grand Finals and could possibly have 5. SHOC are a clear first and daylight is 2nd.

Today's Question: How many premierships will SHOC have after next week?

To say you've got no idea about this subject is an understatement. I was playing for Edwardstown last year and they are a shadow of the club they were back in SAAFL days. Their B Grade last year struggled to fill a side most weeks and their A Grade would only have a handful (less than 5) of the players that played in their Amateur league days.

There is no way Hackham or Marion would get close to anyone inside the top5 in div7 this year and I can honestly say SHOC's C Grade would belt Edwardstown's A Grade.

Adelaide Uni's performances in Div 6 stack up very well against SHOCs performances in Div 7. Adelaide Uni for me

I hope you don't have the same thinking as the majority of the football public and think this is an easy comp. There's some very good teams/clubs in this grade who will also get better over summer so I wouldn't think Ingle Farm would have it all their own way in their first season down here.

i'm also talking about sides like flinders park who have four out of four sides in grand finals - and i'm aware that finals in div 1 are different to div 3 and that div 7 is different to c3 but clubs can only play where they're placed.

we ended up with six out of seven sides in the finals - and eventually three in the gf - the second, fourth and fifth sides in the club. unfortunately the a grade weren't good enough on saturday and missed the opportunity to get into div 1.
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much

saw the 2nd and 3rd quarter SHOC v AV..game over before i even got there..imo vales wouldnt beat IF from this year or even Henley..might have been a bad day i caught them on..well it was i guess..SHOC looked good and will be quite competitive in div 6..they play the angles and switch at every opportunity but didnt have to work very hard at all as their opponents didnt check when SHOC had the ball..carroll kicked 11 but hes no superman..i suggest vales could have put a better skilled and paced player on him in hindsight..good luck to both teams this week..
