On this promise I went to Elizabeth Oval for the first time since 1963 and left sorely disappointed. :D

I blame Jim for ruining Fathers Day.

Apart from the result, what did you think? Why did you go in 1963? We didn't play league there until 1964!

Have you only been around for that short a time? :D

I knew we'd win the reserves clash in 1963, that's why.

And that's without any night games this year!

Also much better weather for our home matches this year - last year we seemed to cop the weekends with poor weather quite a bit (North, Port and Glenelg matches spring to mind)!
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Overall, don't seem to have had too many really bad days for footy this year like we have in past years.

Had a quick scan through the previous pages, and didn't see this mentioned, but there seems top have been very few sub-2000 crowds.
South v West the other week still had 1700, whereas in the past this could have been up to 500 lower.
Also, Eagles v South don't seem to have copped a really bad day like we have in the past few years where the crowd has been 1000-1200.

Bay fans don't travel! Their home figures are boosted by hundreds of "barely" Glenelg fans who are not members, generally only go to the GO on the Sunday's when the weather is fine and for a social catch up. They might contemplate a finals game if they think they can win it. I know of at least 30 people personally who fit this category. The most fickle supporters of all the SANFL clubs. GO figures are also boosted on Sunday's with a good sprinkling of neutrals as well (I am one of them) who go to the games for a social catch up as much as watching the actual game.
