Pathe News Clips

Postby JAS » Tue Aug 30, 2011 11:33 pm

Just heard an interview with on the radio with a guy from British Pathe News. Apparently they've made a load of old news reel clips available to view online as well as to purchase.

Thought it might be of interest to any history buffs out there or maybe even teachers.
Chucked 'adelaide' into the search and these were the results to give you an idea of what's available...as well as news there's some interesting old cricket footage...

Thanks for that link JAS.

The Sir Samuel Way Building, which is now the District Court, used to be some type of store a long time ago. It burnt down at one stage, I'm not sure if this is perhaps the same building, although doesn't really look like it.

Sounds about right. The only thing that happens in Adelaide is warehouse fires and cricket.

Moore's Department Store. Fire in 1948, closed down in 1979, if memory serves.
