Houghton is fenced, I would prefer to watch a grand final there before Brahma Lodge.

Finals are awesome there. Amazing atmosphere. The ground is in awesome nick too. The only downside is the size.

Come the end of a season, a long one for some volunters, an extra week could be to hard.
Some clubs need the money but I think we need to have them at league ovals.

The last 2 GF's I went to were div 4 in 08 and div 3 in 2010, both at Alberton, thats a great place for a GF!!

Agreed! Alberton Oval would be perfect for D3, especially if SMOSH get through, with it being local to a large majority of players/supporters from both sides.
That would be where I'd most like to play a GF too fwiw.

I agree. I would give Houghton one if they wanted it and they needed another ground. I havent played there for a while but the atmosphere was always good from a players point of view and Im sure because of the surroundings it would be good from a spectator point of view although havent watched a game there myself.
The only question mark I would have is have the change room facilities changed since the last time I was there?

What about SHOC?

Thats a great oval with a small grand stand, room right around the oval for spactators, mound on 1 wing for better viewing, the atmosphere would be great there packed out i reckon.

Would be a better option than Brahma Lodge. Surely they're not going to play a final out there. Must be a joke?

So long as the sale of alcohol is available being that its located on school grounds and the ground is in fact available I would say that it is a better option then most grounds.

Wouldnt think school would let them. Heard its hard enough for them to get access to it let alone for 2 other clubs.

I agree. I dont think that SHOC oval is an option. I think there would be more chance with the ovals that usually hold finals otherwise its going to be a case of just making the best of what ever teams get to play on. If a club puts there hand up and there is no better option they will just have to make do.
