Bloody wish that Watson hadnt hit that sweep shot for six, then he wouldnt have tried it again and he couldve concentrated on hitting the ball like he did towards the end.

a 1 dayer over 2 days... i dont mind the extra day though, means australia havent wasted their batting performance
and now the windies have to bat on a pitch which has been covered for 24 hours

I had to start at 7:30 this morning, I was up at 6. Watched all of the Aussies innings.

"Extra shot please love. Thanks".

It's helping.

Damn you pup, learn to drop the ball. He is so great at playing the nice little shots but take some pace off when the field is out and there's so many singles. It's like he's trying to hit the ball between two players for an easy one. DROP the ball inside the circle.

Hayden .. man of the tournament?

Thought this was a nice line from a LARA interview when asked about McGrath:

"There are places on the pitch where batsmen want the ball to land - he never bowls there."

Probably the best way to put it!

Pietersen has a long way to go before he is in the same class as Matthew Hayden.

Super call diss about "pup" last night he was good enough to play a "release" shot often enough to keep it ticking. Lara acting like the harbour bridge helped him and the aussies too. Hayden man of tournament at this stage but ponting is hitting the ball so well i reckon he has a ton or two left in him. Poor old hussey cant take a trick can he-

Do rankings really mean that much though? Ponting would be my #1 yet KP is there? South Africa are ranked #1 but Australia smashed them the other night....

I actually thought Ponting looked scratchy by his standards against SA ... Not knocking the bloke, it's only the best who can contribute a quality score when not always finding the middle of the bat.
