Ash...what was the crap he had to put up with?

Naming a full side on a Thursday night and having 5 players rock up at Plympton, 8 at Hope Valley all with no phone calls or the like. When I spoke to him at HV he seemed to be at the point of no return

He was so desperate, he asked Ash to play that night

I don't think that was the actual coach at HV that night. He was filling in for the coach. Tough gig though if you're struggling for numbers and blokes are simply just not rocking up because it's too far to drive. Getting flogged each week doesn't help things either

In that case how bad is it that your actual coach doesn't rock up

Should probably push for C grades to be somewhat zoned.

We will hopefully have a D Grade next year with any luck so the triple headers will cease to exist for us anyway...

The best we did this year was name 15 emergencies for the C grade with nearly everyone available at the same time. Obviously we will need a lot more to form a 4th side, but the murmurs around Hope Valley are that a 4th side is gaining some momentum with quite a few blokes already putting their hand up to play.

They will need to actually come out and register and train, which is often the biggest hurdle. Very easy to stand there, beer in hand, and say you're going to play footy next year. A lot harder to actually do it, but we will wait and see what happens late 2011/early 2012...

you should hopefully have a few of the 18's come up and play in the A's or B's that will help.
