Coaching Vacancies for 2012

Postby catchisthecry » Thu Aug 18, 2011 9:38 pm

I'm sure this is not a secret as ALFC circulated an email today - Andrew Zobel has stood down as coach at Adel Lutheran after 2 years in charge.
He's a fantastic bloke, had some great wins, but team's consistency let him down.
I hope he will stay involved at AL in some capacity.
As a past player, I really enjoyed Zobes enthusiasm and knowledge - and a top bloke to boot!

Also, sounds like Golden Grove after a new coach for 2012.

Let the silly season begin....

Yeah I saw the email today, I must admit was very surprised with Zobes stepping down, Luthies were the biggest threat outside the 5 this year...

As for rumours...

I've heard that Mitchell is back in the fold at GG. Signed, sealed and delivered in fact!

Not signed, sealed or delivered just yet Quichey !!! But he has been involved in the club again this year after a year off and has been umpiring our C grade.

Word on the street is most gaza players have already re-signed anyway! I believe that In essence a club like gaza talking to and re-signing players before years end like this is the same as a coach of a player's previous club making contact. Every person will have a different view though

Naming a full side on a Thursday night and having 5 players rock up at Plympton, 8 at Hope Valley all with no phone calls or the like. When I spoke to him at HV he seemed to be at the point of no return
