Sydney Swans Season 2011

Talk on the national game

I think you will find most better than average forwards benefit from a decent midfield and another good forward. Billy Brownless comes to mind.

Damn shame the Swans couldn't get 2-3 seasons out of him.

Well done on a great career to Bradshaw... Certainly benefited from one of the better forward lines (Lynch, Brown, Bradshaw) and best midfields (Black, Hart, Akermanis, Power, Voss) in recent memory...

You've still got to win the footy and kick the snags and Braddy did that. What's sadder about Bradshaw than the inevitable retirement from the game is the bitterness he will have towards the club that he gave such great service to. Hope Fev was worth it Vossy.

I know Brisbane lost out on the deal big time. No lucas, Henderson, for example. But bradshaw and fevola not much difference with what they offered their new clubs. Voss said at the time of bradshaw leaving they werent 100% confident in his knee, and that proved to be correct. Still a massive F up by brisbane, but not as much as it could have been if Bradshaw played 3 high quality years at Sydney

My comment wasn't made from a football perspective, but a loyatly one. Therein lies the root of Bradshaw's bitterness. To burn a mate you'd want to be pretty sure that Fev was going to come out way ahead of Bradshaw and he wasn't. Therefore the call wasn't 'spot on'.

Hope Bradshaw can forgive the club, would be a shame if he doesnt return to club for the upcoming premiership reunions. Even though a couple of people burnt him im sure the rest of his team mates would appreciate catching up with him. Always a shame when you see legends like Schimma and KB stay away from their clubs for years due to bitterness

I'm sure Bradshaw will get over it before KB does. How long has KB had the sooks now?

I know how that shit started. He walked into the club one day around lunch time and someone said 'Are you hungry'.....and that was it!

See you in 20 years.

Sydney are probably the only other club with a chance of grabbing a top 4 spot, slight as it is. Would have to win 6/7, and could still miss 4th.

Can see them winning only 3 or 4 of their remaining games. Best case is 5th or 6th and a home final first up

The good thing about this is that the better teams, besides Geelong, we play at home.
I reckon we'll beat Freo, Richmond, Brisbane and Essendon. WB and Saints are 50/50 games. Geelong we'll lose.

Mumford smashed us today. He really is the Cat that got away. I'd have him back before Ablett.
